Recycled Super Soil. Top Cola fan leaves browning and drying up. PLZ HELP!

So this is the first time i've reused my super soil mix. The super soil I used has basically enough nutrients in the soil to last one cycle, after that you have to re-amend.

I'm currently in week 5 of flower and all of my plants are showing signs of stress, with one plant showing severe signs of either nutrient burn or some sort of lockout.

I've done some top dressings and teas over the course of the plants life with EWC and alfalfa, kelp, insect frass, DE and small amounts of Gaia Green 4-4-4 & their 2-8-4 power bloom. I've always erred on the side of caution and done light top dressings but sadly have never done a soil test to get a clear idea of what my soil is lacking.

I had to leave for two weeks right before the plants needed to be flipped to flower and they outgrew my tent and light. I've raised my 240W Quantum board light as high as it can go and is now maxed out. The tops that are the closest to the light are experiencing the worst of the problems i've noticed. I'm positive some have severe light burn with some colas being as close as 6" or less from the light. I've tried dimming the light slightly to see if that would help reduce the intensity of light hitting the tops but no change. I've tried supercropping some of them but the cultivars are all pretty vigorous and always grow right back to the same position as before but stronger with the knuckle. So at this point I can't really do anything about the distance of the light to the top colas.

I've tested my PH runoff with the plant suffering the worst and it came out at 5.8 which is way too low. I've been bouncing between watering with mostly RO water and tap water to see if I could raise the Ph a little higher as the tap water comes out at 8.5 with under 75ppm (approx). I haven't seen any changes, so I decided to add a few tbsp of crushed oyster shells to the top soil to see if it would help raise the ph. I'm not sure if the PH is the actual problem or if there is something else going on that i'm unaware of. The plants are all in 7gallon pots and for most of their vegging life have been happy and shown crazy growth.

I'm at the point now after dealing with this for a few weeks where I've changed my mind over what the issue could be countless times. One day I think it's a phosphorus deficiency, another day I think it's a potassium deficiency, and other days I think it's a cal/mag issue.

So, my question is do you think there is anything I can do to revive these plants showing these problems with my current situation? The bud growth has slowed down like crazy and hasn't shown very good growth at all tbh. One plant has been growing really well this past 4 weeks but now it too is showing signs of browning fan leaf tips and dark browning on the serrated edges. I've attached photos below for you to kind of get an idea of what's going on. I know I may of missed some info that may be important to figuring out what's going on, so feel free to bring up anything I may of missed.

It's gotten so bad that most of the main colas of the worst plant have had their fan leaves go yellow and brown and shrivel up as well as all the bottom leaves have turned completely yellow and or fallen off completely. I'm scared if I don't do something soon, the plant will lose all the primary fan leaves needed for photosynthesis, even the sugar leaves coming out of the buds are browning at the tips and shrivelling up.

PLEASE HELP!!

Best,

I've never re-used Super Soil but Jeremy from BAS said you should remix the soil and add more compost. I think he talked about it on The Potcast.

Hot soil for sure, excess nutes?

What size pots do you use?

I use my own mix of soil, it will last me 7-10 weeks in flower (beginning to end) and if I add anything other than water before 8 weeks, my plants burn.

They're in 7gallon pots
I would use water ONLY from now on unless your bottom leaves hit a hard decline, you don't need to feed anything yet.

Also 6" is close for a QB, but it seems like your maxed out on height, look up "low stress training/super cropping" so next time you can keep your foliage low.

I've been doing just water only for the last 3-4 waterings and it seems to be getting worst. I mentioned in my original post that I left for two weeks and the plants outgrew the tent or else I normally do LST the plants to keep them in check. I super cropped a bunch and they just bounced back in the same position after a week and were even stronger at the knuckle so there wasn't much in the line of training that I could do at this point. I just tried super cropped some of the bigger/stronger tops that were less than 6" from the light and they're not bouncing back, which I'm guessing is because they're too stressed already or the colas are too heavy for the knuckle to form.

Oh didn't see that you left for two weeks, next time during veg, tie down your branching to the pot? Cable ties lol.

When bending colas in mid/late flower they don't always come back up like early flower/veg, at least you were able to bend them, its not always possible that far in.

The burn honestly looks like hot soil, excess nutes can also reduce the ability to thrive in high light levels due to nutrient antagonism.

You cant do much now but keep those colas low and pay close attention to temp, defs & toxicities, if you feed nutes, feed for a visible reason.

ya im going to keep watering water ph'ed to 7-8 for now on. I've actually just started learning about nutrient antagonism and i'm guessing that's playing a big role in what's going on with the plants now. I had a scrog net set up before I left for two weeks and the plants just straight up said "not today trellis" and stretched the trellis to the point where the tension gave way and the plants just did their own thing. I always end up leaving for two weeks during crucial stretch periods in my plants lives. :(
