Reducing PH for beginners

Can anyone offer me any advice on how to best to change my PH? I live in a hard water area and my nute mix is coming in at around 7.1. I've checked the soil and it seems to be around 6.8 so in the good range but don't want to ruin my hard work setting it up with the wrong PH nute water.

PH up PH Down liquid or powder on line or at a local grow shop near you.

Also lemon/ orange juice and white vinegar will bring it down.

on top of those suggestions, you can use dolomite lime, which is a more organic way to go. this doesnt effect the water though, it just keeps the soil at a stable ph for a good amount of time. just as effective if not more

Does this work? Will give it a try in the interim not going to be able to get to the shop to get some PH down for at least a week.

yes i can vouch for the white viegar.

Fuck all that shit.... All you need to do is premix some lime and you'll never have to worry about your ph again..

This stuff will NOT change the ph of your soil, only of the liquid your putting into the soil

My well water is up to 7.6 ph right out of the tap. I used vinegar which worked but the next day the PH would be up a whole point. I bought a jug of PH Down and it has similar effect as vinegar but is more stable over the life of the nute solution. It's $10 or $12 per liter but is worth it.

Plus using vinegar alot will start to build up in your soil and eventually cause lockout and just completely fuck with you ph.. Dolomite lime is all you need bro.. Works wonders and a 50lb bag is like 5 bucks

When using lime it doesn't matter what your waters ph is, it could be at 1 and you soil will still stay around 6.5-7 which is perfect range for soil

Can dolomite lime be used on an already potted plant or in the watering cycles?
