indeed good idea but you can buy the sheet for about 70 quid - that will made abour 8 reflectors - they are mirror finished and reflector ample light - we use them in my job for 1500volt UV lights they are great

Why not use reptile heat lamp reflectors? The infrared bulbs for my lizard setup are uqually as wide as a large CFL and they are available at petstores worldwide.

just buy the extenders at home depot...and if u get the y socket u can fit 2 of those 100w cfls in there...thats what im using

I just picked up a 42 watt cfl from wal-mart today, and I was having the same problem but then I went up to Home depot and I am just going to make a reflector.I got some sheet metal to make the outside with and im going to line it with mylar. As for the socket i found this regular socket and plug there for like $6, which looks just about the same as the ones online for $20.

speaking of big CFL's

anybody use these badass bulbs: 300w CFL ?

I wonder how many lumens that thing kicks out?

This may be a dumb question but here goes for the big cfls like 150 and up that require the mogul socket do they need pulse rated or not or does it matter i have always used hids but smaller grow room now in new house so gotta switch thanks
