Remote Environmental Monitoring. Has alerts and pretty graphs too

I want to share my experience with the Netatmo Weather Monitoring System. Is it expensive? $150 you decide. For some that's chump change, for others that's groceries for a month. But for me the peace of mind it brings is more than worth it.

I was looking for a way to monitor the conditions in my space. After years of using crap thermometers and hygrometers I bought from hardware/big box stores, I bit the bullet and invested in the Netatmo. At first, it was just about the cool looking graphs. It's nice to see the conditions over time. You can see how the CO2 and temp levels change immedieatly before the lights come on. So cool, I mean we all know they are living and breathing, but to see them anticipate the lights coming on just shows you how alive they really are!

But...here's the cool part. You can set alerts for any of the conditions. Set a minimum or a maximum on any of the monitored conditions: Temperature, Humidity, CO2, and get this....EVEN SOUND LEVELS, yep sound levels! I used the sound levels to monitor the sound of the air pumps. Airpump fails? Sound Db decreases and you get an alert on your phone!

Because of this system I've been saved from:
1. Issue where I accidentally bumped the timer and accidentally changed the setting causing the lights to come on during dark period. Temps of graphs showed a bump at night. This allowed me to discover the mistake before it was too late.

2. Issue where oscillating fan failed. Got sound alert of reduced Db level, so I knew it was a fan or a pump

3. Vent issue when temps in room hit 91. Got an alert on phone as soon as that happened and fixed in minutes, instead of hours. Who knows how hot it would have gotten?!?!???

In any case, the remote monitoring saved me. Check out the attached screenshot showing graphs...and please don't judge my environmental conditions. I know the temp, humidity and CO2 could be better. Part of the reason I got this was to give me the data I need to create a proper solution given the restricted space that I have - not all of us can have a dedicated sealed space with CO2, air-conditioning, Humidifier/Dehumidifier, but I'm happy and thankful to have the space that I have. Heck, if it wasn't for @Growmau5 and his videos on COBs, this wouldn't even be possible. My current conditions don't allow for HPS...I tried...multiple times...but the COBs are rocking fine. I just have to get everything else dialed in.

One more thing, it comes with 2 sensors. One for inside use, one for outside use. Indoor sensor is the one with CO2 so place that one where ever you want to monitor CO2. For those of you that need to monitor 2 spaces, like a veg space and a flower space, this is perfect.
