republicans tutored on how to talk to black people

I'm not talking about the legalities, I'm talking about unfettered access to firearms and ammunition in the home and black market/street. And, Yes even convicted felons can buy a gun via private sale at a gun show.

Again, well regulated vs regulated is not the issue. If citizens don't care enough to vote in a time of peace, they ain't picking up a weapon in a time of war. Nothing you say will convince me otherwise.
If you abandon legalities, anyone can get any gun anywhere. It's a matter of enough money. You can own a fully-operational Abrams right in your own back yard, assuming you conceal it well enough before the terminal joyride. World fame, baby!

No. It is not. The police are not military. They are civilians.
military personnel are deployed with civilian law enforcement agencies for major events such as presidential inaugurations, sporting events, terrorist incidents etc.

The militarisation of domestic law enforcement is quite obvious, in addition many current and ex-military people train law enforcement upon retiring from the service.

That is not relevant to the photo; those are LAPD.

We do have a lot of guns here and that is awesome..... I think we should do gun drives and donate to the less fortunate....I would love love love to see all the villages in Africa that are being oppressed receive large munitions donations......I bet those 3 guys in the back of a pickup truck wouldn't be able to hold the village down much longer.

Free guns for rape victims, courtesy of the taxpayer.

WIC vouchers could be for so much ammo per month.....you know for nutrition.

Free guns and training for all school security.

Food stamps aren't guaranteed under the Constitution there's no right to eat.....Where's my Gun Stamps?

I don't think that'll work. The conflict-torn regions of Africa are saturated with AKs and other highly-evolved tools of guerrilla war. In such an environment the serious badasses simply concentrate the guns into their own hands and wage a war of terror on those who either decline or fail to be similarly extreme badasses. More valuable would be training in the tactics of resistance, forming cohesive communities that'll stand some chance of undercutting the ganglords ... I wander. Not my field of expertise.

I am not saying just send guns to Africa in general but rather a more focused effort.....think "feed the children" except with guns.

If the bad asses succeed in concentrating the guns in their own hands, that is taking them from the populous......at least the populous weren't defenseless to begin with.....assuming the populous is the overwhelming majority and wish to exist without oppression.

That is exactly what is happening. Except the guns only go to the people in the back of the pickup paid for by the US taxpayer.

example - Yusuf Mohammed Siad, aka "white eyes"

Good point and you nailed it, the guns don't end up with the people, they end up in corrupt leaders hands.

Of course I meant they should end up in the villagers hands.......I suppose the US paying less taxes is always a good thing too though.

Mass shootings been happening for over a hundred years now, the Media just didn't glorify it like they do today. Remember when the Media used to report on things like war? I never hear anything about any of the many wars we are involved in. nothing, except for the vets who come back and kill themselves.

one small school in Colorado made shooting your school mates glamorous and now it has become a competition amongst the over medicated as to who can get the highest kill rate before they off themselves.
Not all parents are like you or my relatives in Virginia. Their guns are locked away, ammo separate, with only a pistol in the bedroom (quick access safe). When I think firearm safety, that includes restricting access to your weapons to all.

The other day I read the final sandy hook report and was shocked to learn the shooters mother had literally "pushed" firearms on her son as a kind of outlet, in total disregard of all the obvious signs her son was increasingly becoming mentally unstable and a danger to himself and others.

Would Americans reject the notion of regulating the safe storage of firearms?
