Recycling medium, what does RIU think about this

I usually use it just to top off pots as the soil settles after repeated waterings.... I'm not sure I'd use it strictly for another grow.... but I'm interested to hear what people say as well.... good soil is pricey!

I use Sunshine #4 mixed with a 30% coco, 20% worm castings and some lime. I reuse it all the time. Just mix it in with new soil and you're fine.
Off topic, but how do you ph for sunshine #4? I'm in soil, but been thinking about switching to coco. The whole coco ph thing really confuses me.
I've grown in soil, soiless, and coco. I like the mix I am using now with Sunshine and 30% coco. For coco I always pH's at 5.8-6.0 and with Sunshine 6.3-6.6
I added coco to my Sunshine cause the one drawback I feel like Sunshine has is that it dries out too quickly. I think they put too much perlite in it in my opinion. The lime I add is for pH stability although it probably doesn't need it. I ran a while last year without the lime and the pH was pretty stable. I just add it anyway. Since I have 30% coco in the mix I pH now to 6.3 and it works out great for me.
The one thing with straight coco you gotta watch out for is that it has a nice amount of potassium in it so you need to adjust your nutes accordingly.

... that organic matter left over cause any problems even after you have tilled the soil in ur pots?
I'm gonna get a rotating composter. Throw the old soil in with some other things and let it "cook".
