Bad news in Riddle-land. Someone doesn't understand too hot is too hot. It is out of my hands now...

Everything else is good.. humidity is a bit too high.. I do remember telling some people on here 60-70% RH is good.. but that is just for the begining and clones. For mothers I like to see 40-50% RH, for flowering I'd like to see 30-40% RH. (email.. any input?)

These were the temps over-night:

Above Light - 26.9 - 27.7 C
Below Light - 26.9 - 28.6 C

Humidity was good, surprisingly, 48-49% RH.

Here are some burnage pics.. email, you're not alone in the universe!

HA! those are amateur burns! just teasing of course - that sucks. no problem seeing where your light is focused, huh?

Seriously - i wish i were alone with burn problems - those poor beautiful plants. Not to be harsh but I hope "someone" can clearly see how they fucked up.

my humidity also seems to be fine while the plants were being destroyed.

Those temps aren't too bad and nearly right on for CO2 injection - wonder why the plants scorched so badly?

my canopy was in the high 90's <36.6 C plus!> (and closer to the lights was triple digits! <38C plus>) when the damage was done.

They are HORRIBLE with money and can't "afford" to run A/C at 24C because they are spending it on the most stupid things. This is THE most important thing.. not some designer name pruning shears to match your blouse and shoes.

I'm wondering about CO2.. but I'm not teaching them any more.. I'll wait until I'm alone.

sorry to hear of your dilemma. you're a bigger person than i am - which isn't too much of a compliment - i would have scrapped this person's grow.

Nah, all you see is mine. I spent so much already.. all they did was get a 400w cheapo light that will veg mum's.. I'm doing all the work.. all the flowering.. all the curing.. all the harvesting.. it's cool. At least now I have some pro equipment.. and I'll have fresh clean smoke.

What do you think of my RH estimations above?

i'm happy with anything between 40 and 60 but i haven't been much of a perfectionist.

Nothing much changed.. just some burn damage to some leaves.. 3 months of veg.. I think they want the HPS.. just two more days.. then flowering!

Ooops! I still need an extractor fan.. that is coming.. ok, so maybe a week more.. then flowering!!!

Oh, one more thing.. I HATE Botanicare's line of products.. they are NOT 100% water-soluble.

If you want good nutes.. get 100% water-soluble nutrients or go home.

Certain people wanted it NOW!

They don't realize how long it takes to seed, sprout, veg, flower, harvest, cure, and THEN smoke.

So, I started it to get them off of my back.. I'm paying for everything and they still give me crap for not having anything yet.. lo-fucking-l.

Updates!!!!

600w Cooltube came in, two bulbs, electronic ballast, hangers.. ect.

Now I'm waiting on the GH nutes and the extractor fan.. for the temp problems I'll probably exhaust the cooltubes outside through a window. It will look like a A/C unit exhaust and I'll have to use a back-draft damper.

Running the HPS at night will also help with the temps.

Cloning supplies will be held off for a while.. there will be plenty from just two of these babies.. this will also show fellow growers what topping and fimming will do for bud production and location.

Some strains will produce the same amount of bud no matter how many colas grow.. some will grow more with more colas.. I think Blueberry is one of those unique strains that will grow copious amounts of bud with several toppings.

Pics will follow after all equipment is installed and running.

Edit: Daily pics will follow when flowering occurs.

that's cool but be warned -- the only way the FLIR can detect a heat signature is exhausting your hot air directly outside.

Yea.. that's the problem.. choppers fly around here constantly.. at night I can't tell if they are PIGS or for emergency EVAC. I might just shoot it inside to be safe.. I'm thinking if it runs at night then I won't chance the really high temps that will kill everything.

Man.. I just read over this journal.. so many good memories of all the dirty work.. the love and care for these plants.. irregardless the annoyance of roomates.

There is so much to learn.. I'm a die-hard DIY'er.. so expect some cost-efficient items in the future!!!

your growing your own medicine.. i have no doubt in my mind that my 400 watter will ever get me in trouble unless i tell a rat about my grow. so, basically what im saying is dont sweat it..

There are some to trust.. some don't.. ya gotta read up on rhetoric.. that is the best way to 'plug' for information and 'sniff' out undercovers and informants.

Besides, PIGS work on time-tables.. so if they aren't on pot time, don't fuck with 'em.
