metric is so much easier... especially when you are dealing with science. i think the the standard american unites are just obsolete. we tried to convert to metric some years ago, but it never worked out for some reason...

All my measuring cups have a (ml) part next to the tsp/tbsp part. I think I'm actually going to buy some mL tubes for percise measurments  it does seem a whole more accurate, then spoons lol.

yes, that what i have and it works great. i think it was some sort of "flavor injector", you know the things that you can inject liquids and stuff into a chicken(just a big needle)..

yea, it definitely makes things easier for me... i only paid like 75 cents for it too.

Nutes and extractor just went out today! I'll have them by mid next week.. mothering tent is done.. but the cheap-o light is messed up now! It might be the ballast.. it sounds like it fires right.. but neither of the bulbs will fully light up.. they look like the want to.. but they just won't get past the initial firing stage.

It is not even a month old I think.. so it will be going back for a new one.. or we will just have to figure it out.

Once the second light is fixed and the equipment arrives there will be much to do!!!

i think you got them from HTG, i also had problems with their lights :(

some of them turned on glowing purple and stayed purple till they completely shit the bed.

it might be your ballast, but my guess is their cheap bulbs.. i even found stray metal floating in the outer glass too... HTG has great customer support and tony will hook you up if you have any problems. :peace:

I'll keep an eye on everything!

She fired up proper this morning.. someone wouldn't listen when I said, "Cool down period." So it sat off all night and came on with the timer this morning!

Pics of all the new work!

Clone chamber made of a book-case-stand.. and you remeber the old free-standing closet?

Well, IT'S BACK!

Everything should be here soon.. more pics to come.. lots of work to do!

It is good to see you around. Sometimes I worry that some people get pinched due to inactivity.. shit.. even I see myself becoming too busy to post everyday.

So much to do lately.. things have been rushed, but not comprimised as of late.

Timing is key!

Flowering Day 1

600w HPS Cooltube
12 hours light, 12 hours dark.
25.3-25.9 C
40% RH

Added a little bit of grow and bloom nutes to fix the nutritional defficiency, along with pulling out some of the heavily damaged foliage. When the plants turn-around I'll be using the General Hydroponics 2-part nutes with a bloom booster and Diamond nectar.

Going to reverse the flow of the cooltube in the morning.. it will be more efficient in the other direction.. I'm just too tired as of now.

Looking nice man!! nice setup brotha .
Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Still a few odds-and-ends.. but all is well!

Hydro is a bit daunting at the moment.. but I'd like to try my hand at it.. sounds simple enough.. it is just the initial investment.

jeez E, beautiful stuff! I really need to invest in your kind of ventilation, probably in a couple of grows when I save up some money. This is an awesome journal, keep up the great work bro!

Thanks a lot toolage!

The fan was sourced from florahydroponics.com. It is a Vortex 4" Inline fan.. which doesn't seem to have a problem with the dual-carbon filtration. Temps right now don't justify the money in a thermostat and fan controller.. that will be later in the year when the temps fall outside.

Gonna switch the cooltube's ventilation around now, pull with inline fans!!!

More pics tonight!!!

yes, the roots dangle in the water all the time. But the water is heavily oxygenated (a lot of bubblers/aerostones). I think this is one of hydro's great benefits - no need to worry about over/under-watering (provided you are using aero/DWC).
