RO, Soft, Hard Water Question

I have used RO for my last grow but I am now growing a lot more in much larger pot and my RO just can't keep up.

My water out of the spigot has 1080 ppm
My softened water has 1080 ppm
My RO has 40 ppm

I would rather use RO with a CAL/MAG + but it just can't keep up.

How would you deal with water with high TDS like mine tap water.
It would make it really easy if I could use my tap.

ADvice suggestions?

Your tap is WAY to "hot". You're going to run into alot of problems using that tap water bud. How many plants are you going to be running this time around?

Well I have about 20 with probably 6-8 more males to kill. I am shooting for my 12 limit. They are in 5 gallon pots.

So does it matter that I have a Water softner? It's still hot, but hot with what? Sodium?
Yes! What do you think you are putting into your softner to soften your water........SALT! That shit will build up all over your roots and you will get nute lock in no time my friend. Salt is your worse enemy for your roots and soil.

doesnt matter..... your ppm still reads the same hard or soft. Can you stock up your RO water? I only say stay away from tap because I had all kinds of problems with tap and mine was only 400ppm out of the tap, so I could only imagine what your tap would do when its triple what mine was ppm wise. I was able to complete my grows with my tap BUT when I started using RO water my def's went away. RO water is the best for your plants my friend.

Dude that site is AWSOME! I actually just bought one lol +rep
Sweet let us know what your ppm is comming out of the unit to see if it is more adventageous to use than R.O.
I also have water that comes out of the outside spigot at 1900 ppm and didn't even bother with inside because it goes through the softener "Death by sodium"
So I use the R.O. unit that is under the sink that came with the house. My landlord had said something like, "You just need to pull those filters out and rinse them out.", which is not a feasible way of changing the filter. Anyways, it reads right around 100 out of the R.O. unit which I will take over my other options. One of those would be to haul water from one of the local R.O. units they have set up around town for .20 to .25 a gallon.

R.O. all the way for me. It usually will make 4 gallons in a few hours, but I want to say it does a gallon an hour which really isn't that bad. I have roughly a 5 and a 20 to 30 gallon rez that I have to change out. I use a few old milk jugs and fill them up throughout the day and transfer them into a few 5 gallon bucks with lids I have 'downstairs'. I then have valves set on both of my rez's that let me pump water out of them to which i attach a 1/2 flexible line I run up the stairs.

For my broken back I feared having to haul soil and water so opted to go with hydro and have no regets as of yet. Only thing I would like to have it two 55 gallon plastic drums to store fresh and dirty water in so that I can choose when I want to pump it out into the yard. I would just use on of the many aquarium pumps I have lying around to keep them circulated and fresh for when I'm ready to use them.
