Round or Square Fabric Pot?

Other than maximizing grow space, is there any advantage or disadvantage between using square fabric pots as opposed to round fabric pots? I'd be looking at pots sized 5 gallons or smaller.

I'd definitely get the octagonal pots. Get the ones that come with spider mites.

round rootballs are good square ones pinch

good luck
I belive just the opposite. Round seems to root bound faster than square. In the square pots roots seem to hit the wall and turn back in, sometimes splitting into multiple roots, where the round pots they just swirl around the edges. I always see more root mass in square pots. Plus square pots hold more medium and package better in a grow area, imho.
