Ill post some pics of the roots in a bit, I dont believe they are fighting for space but there is a bit of tan tint to quite a bit of the older root growth....not brown and it doesnt smell but not nearly as white as the new growth. I spray some h202 on them let it fizzle for a bit and then run water through them so it doesnt kill my bennies in the aquasheild on re introduction to the reservoir... seems to help a bit but I dont want problems in the future...

On a lighter note I took a sample (roughly 2 weeks till harvest) It looks GREAT and it better be cause there isnt gonna be shit as far as yield goes SOOOOO cant wait to start a new run....Let me know what you guys think!

Wow brother that is some seriously frosty ganja :D NICE!

As for the roots man, they do look a bit brown to me. If you can treat them again before transplanting they should be ok!
Thanks Easty! They sure do looked nice to me too! Ive been working so much I didnt even get a chance to sample them and I think my girl tried it before it was completely dried...either way she said she thought it was pretty good nonetheless! So thats a good sign! I really cant wait to get these things in the jars and get the next one moving along... As far as the roots go, Im gonna put some coconut juice in the res (More natural enzymes than cannazyme) keep the treatments up till this week (Hopefully) when the flood tables are up! Thanks for stoppin in!

Soup, I've been doing DWC now for about a yr and have experienced rot root once... Then I started using this recipe https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/361430-dwc-root-slime-cure-aka.html and have NEVER since had ANY problems with roots period... Give it a try and I promise you'll thank me later.. I also this IMHO that ur res is a bit small for the DWC and those ladies may need a bit more space to spread there wings. Just my opinion. I usually start in a 3-1/2gal for veg they move to a 5gal right before flower. I hope this helps in some way.
Hey dude, I appreciate your input! I am VERY familiar with the upside to running bennies and tea (May even do it in my bigger flood res when its set up) but like I said, this DWCrap thing is nothing more than a temp solution. I didnt even setup for a chiller on the thing, as you can see the res is small cause of the short expected time period I was gonna use it...its already past due! The roots believe it or not are NOT fighting for space yet so hopefully transplant will be a non issue. I think DWC is a totally viable option for someone who has it dialed in (which Im sure I could do with the right initial investment) I wish you great success with it as with so many other people Im sure your pumping out some great erb, what can I say??? IT JUST AINT MY STYLE;) I will come to you if I feel the need to experiment more after this though:) ...I usually do!

Thanks Chipper! I wish I would have gotten a little taste, but theres more on the way soon!:)...Not a bad job on the Phone camera though huh? Gettin a little better with the app maybe? :) Thanks for stoppin in, sorry I havent been over to your neck of the woods lately, Ive just been workin like a dog!

Nice job Soup...I bet she cures and tastes fantastic...
Thanks WC! Im sure hoping she does as well, cause let me tell you the output is more than underwhelming;( BUT environments are perfect now and Ive got real high hopes for future runs!

Heres some pics I snapped today, not much change... trichs are 85% cloudy 15% clear soooo just waiting to see the slightest hint of amber and down they will come. May do the upper portion first and let the lower part of the growth develop a little further, although I wanted to just cut the trunks and let the whole plant dry slow and do a dry trim...As always we will see! Things have a way of changing around here without notice!:)

Next pics might be at harvest, I want to thank everyone for being part of this experiment. Bigger a nd better things to come!:)

There is no mistaking this strain for anything other than kush! I bet she is dense as granite too. Great job SOuP, looking forward to the new project man.

Bloody hell Soup, they get more frosty every day :D
They sure finished up pretty sparkly man, thanks for the compliment! Thanks for all your input along the way!

right!

soup tell me you are going to make hash or something out of those leaves after you clip. So much frost on them would hate for it to go to waste!!
Believe me bro NONE of it will go to waste! BUT with only 2 plants on this experiment run I will probably freeze the trim in a sandwich bag until next harvest and do a test on some cheaper bubble bags (Still waiting on eastys review)

I agree Stone! I can say I would have been VERY disappointed if I hadnt done my research on the lineage of this strain and taken PO's word on it (It was sold as XXX OG) but knowing what I knew going in I cant say Im upset at all! :) Thanks for the compliments and tips along the way, I definitely am looking forward to the new endeavor as well although it might be a little later into the summer before I start flowering again as my little DWC project is hanging on by a thread due to neglect (I work WAYYYY too much) So there are e few different options; 1. I can order a nice mix of single seeds and grow out some MOMs then clone them out in rotation. 2. Combine number one and buy a high number of clones and take a shot at an SOG style in the flood tables I will be setting up in a rockwool slab? 3. Try to save the DWC plants (Inundated with root rot at this point) and flower those out in some type of intermediate medium to hold me over..... Time will tell;)

Sweeeeeeeeeeet :)
Hey dude! Nice timing as always! Just wanted to say thanks for the ideas and wealth of knowledge regarding perlite as a medium for this last run! I think it came out really well for a first shot and the stresses I put them through! Definitely stay tuned for the flood tables as Im thinking of using the smart pots with perlite as a main medium and lava rocks on the bottom (Stability) and on the top (Keep perlite from floating into my tables) It should be a good show now that the environments are perfect!:)

HARVEST DAY!!!

I took em down today... The samples were great! Also with me deciding to hang the whole plant to slow dry I figure the trichs are going to mature even a bit further over the next 10 days, should be PERFECT:) I cant believe the roots made it through that far through the strainer bucket! Those holes are really small AND there is a window screen there on the other side! Thanks to everyone for their input and thoughts along the way! I will update with some cure shots
and a link to the flood table grow when I get it kicking! Should be some fun stuff! Thanks again!!!~ S0uP
