Salt Buildup / Nutrient Lockout

Im usually able to tell when and what type of deficiency I have if I ever get them but this is a first.

my plants leaves are yellowing below the canopy and the ones above are Turing brown on the edges and tips And getting crunchy. Recently Went to feed and decided to check my run off PPMs and its sitting at about 1250 for each of my plants and my solution going in is 1150 @ 6.5. So I’m all most positive it’s a lockout.

the question I have is.. is there a quick (safe )to clean the root system out other than a massive flush? reason being is I’m in week 8 and I have 3 or so weeks left and I don’t really wanna stress my girls out more than they probably already are. I’m also worried about it affecting yield and them not bulking up in the home stretch. PLEASE HELP!!.

im running LEDs @75%
room temperature is 72F
And my humidity is sitting around 47% - 50%

Flush them. You should do it once a week anyway to avoid salt buildup. Run twice your soil volume of water through them to flush them. You should be flushing them once a week with at least the soil volume of water. For example if you have them in 1 gallon buckets you should run gallon of clean water through them once a week or once every 6 feeds. Its for too late in their cycle to try & correct any deficiencies/toxicities but a good flush will see them cheer up on the inside. & then just carry on as usual.

I dont see much of an issue here based on pics, just lower the ec feed level, or give them water only for a cycle or two. They'll eat through the food in the soil. As you said, they are in week 8, so they should be eating less anyway. What stands out to me is the environment.

-Run the lights at 100%
-Temps could be higher, low 80's ok
-RH could be higher, 50-60% ok (with higher temps)

They look like healthy plants towards the end of their life cycle to me. Some strains just show their senescence more than others ya fine.

You are in coco right? Just lower your EC to 1 or 1.2 and feed to plenty of runoff-do that instead of a "flush". You can finish your plants with a lower EC without starving them-they simply don't need at EC that high in the final few weeks of development. How heavy is the breeze in your room?

Most likely the issue Iscoming from your water source. Flushing won't help unless you use distilled water. Tap water is nasty water pretty much barely suitable for washing up your body and dishes. Full of all kinds of chemical that are not filterable.

It's better to just do a double feed to reset your medium to an appropriate EC than flushing with water and going from overfed to starving. If you are getting decent run-off and not letting your medium get too dry you shouldnt have any issues with salt buildup.

As far as your tap water advice, not everyone is from Flint, Michigan. Tap water is plenty fine for growing plants in most major cities and wells in the US. You just need to look at your water report to see what's in it. I've been using well water for 6 years and my plants love it. Buying bottled water for weed plants is unnecessary and bad for the environment unless you have no other solutions because your city is dropping the ball on water quality.

Yeah, my tap water is like 15ppm, almost feel bad pooping into such good water.

My well water is at 130 ppms and I'm lucky it has just enough Calcium from the aquifer I'm on to feed my girls. No bottles of Calmag on the shelf, just some Epson salt every once in a while to keep up with Magnesium issues in certain strains. Knowing what's in your water is really important but for most people the ph and chemical makeup of tap water will work out fine for organics definitely and even salt based nutes with some adjustments. If you have questions about whether or not your water is good to use post your water report up on here and there's some really smart people that have the science background to break it down. Not my skill set for sure but others here can help out and usually will when asked nicely.
