it has a meanwell 600 mounted in the middle, with one cable going to each side (the 600 comes with 2 output cables).

I use a straight edge for my extrusions, probably costs me about $5.50 per leg. (but I am buying wholesale on account of using more aluminium than the large local retailers). the top and bottom is powder-coated aluminium too
Can you show detail on how you are joining/fixing the sink to the tube. Its a very neat and clean look. Understand if its a trade secret.

I drilled and tapped a M5 thread into each heatsink right between the fins. Then drilled a 5.5mm hole in the frame where mounting the heatsinks.

You can see the screw going through the frame into the heatsinks. I have a lot of experience tapping holes and I understand others may struggle with it. I have seen others use rivets, but then you can't really take it apart without making a mess.

I have also seen others use self-tapping screws but that's not ideal. You will strip the hole if you bring a self-tapper in and out too many times, especially with the soft aluminum. IMO tapping the heatsink is a pain but it's very strong and makes for easy disassembly.

I built this unit yesterday and since I can't show it to anyone personally, I am going to show it off here instead. It was very helpful for me to look at other builds and there is a ton of information on this website so thanks everyone.

Overall Dimensions 37" x 24"
Strips - 6 x Samsung F-Series Gen3 3500K Strips, SI-B8U521560WW
Driver - HLG-320H-48A
Heatsinks - 6 x Heatsink USA 2.079"W x 24"L
Frame - 3/4" x 3/4" x 1/8" Aluminum from Metal Supermarkets



Wired in parallel circuit to give output voltage to each strip. Since it is parallel, I have inline fuses attached to positive side of each strip with 1.5A fuses. Actual readings with unit turned all the way up; 1.25A per strip, 47.7VDC. 375 Watts total from the wall.

It was a long project with all of the time planning and building. It is hard to try to find a balance between power, cost, looks, and size. I am overall happy with the outcome, let me know what you guys think.

there is a groove in the tube under tho cover for accessing the wires and helping to hold the nut keeping the gland in place.

I got the six lol. Under 60 after all taxes.(tariffs are taxes too)
Awesome! Even though these strips don't have the most efficient diodes Samsung makes, I think mine have been too close to the plants. The upper tips are yellowing a bit, and the plants look exhausted after their 18 hours of veg time. I guess 3 strips per heatsink is pretty intense. I've just raised them to over 1' from the tops, and may even have to go a little higher, we'll see.

I'm so tempted to grab some and build another for supplemental lighting, but honestly I have enough lights right now. $5 a strip is giving them away.
