That is an amazing price. Guess if they suit a persons space lengthwise, that doubling up on quantity of strips could improve efficiency. Take note of what @zoiz says. They are really floppy.

Nice to see some deals coming back around. Not buying anything else myself, but stumbled across these just looking around for $1.62. Not the lm301b diodes, but it's the lm561c which seems to be the next best in the samsung line atm and 3500k is pretty universal as far as spectrum.

There’s actually more that came on sale this afternoon, I grabbed 80 more strips, pretty sure L09 96 diode strips in 5k are bout $3 right now too, 3500k still $$$

Those L09 influx strips are back on for $3.30 each, 4K and 3500k. They usually sit about $12 each. Use promo code 20NEW for $20 off the order. 35 strips for under $100. Not the newest but not the worst, if anyone’s interested, links...

- quick question.. these are 52v , if I wire two 24v drivers in series then to the strips at 48v (+/- the 5v swing on the drivers AB meanwell) would that work? I’ve got a few 150w 24v MW ab drivers sitting.. thx

i would get the single row 2ft L04 that are 24V strips instead. those are only $1.50 or something

i can find the links if u need them

The last batch I got say 48 volt on the strips, I’m not sure why they are listed at 52v. As far as running 2 drivers in series, I’m not sure but I don’t think it would be a good idea. I would go with what reggae said or grab some cheap 48v drivers.

I’ve got one made with those already. All I did was mount 2-3 close together to basically make double strips. Wanting to make a smaller one with less strips and 4 of these doubles at 60w each would be nice . Thx for the input

Even these seem to be a better option, plus no tariff on these if that's applicable to you anyways.


The lm561c diodes are a little more efficient than the lm301a's on the influx strips but will need a little less current per strip (more strips in total). You could do 12 of these strips per driver and probably get away with no heatsinks needed, but I have never used these so best to double check what I'm saying before moving forward.

there are different datasheets for those floating around. this one shows the L09 can get up to 52.1V. worst datasheet ever bc they show both 48 and. 52V for 1.38A. assuming its a typo. i think they take 1.7A max so I am thinking they pull 52V at 1.7A. but who knows.

definitely grab ones that are like Meanwell A version so u can squeeze out more volts if needed. I got some cheapo 48V drivers and they blink out after a few mins bc they can't deliver enough voltage. I need to put them on the meter to see if the strip is trying to pull more than 48V or the drivers are not hitting 48V.

i just remembered I think that @Rocket Soul may have tried running drivers in series like this before and said it works (not with these strips but something else). I could be wrong, wait for him to confirm.

38-50v 91.5% efficiency. CC driver. 2 amps. 100w max, waterproof.


There are prob more deals on other drivers but digging around is painful on mobile.

I’m super happy I grabbed the 10 pack of 150w, they have no stock on 150s now, I looked quick and the 120s are not 48v. Promo code 20NEW will knock another $20 off. These boxes are usually about $400.

Yea, the idea of getting 1500 watts for the price of those drivers and strips available right now seems crazy. Few hundred bucks for 1500 watts of light and a little ingenuity to piece it all together seems like a really budget friendly option.
