Thanks again for sharing your experiences and wisdom. I now feel like I'm looking at my girls with more informed eyes. + rep

They both had purple buds near the end, went from green to purple very fast, and surprisingly late.
The tall girl I have now is doing just this. She's had purple calyx's for a while now, but over the last few days (68-72 of 12/12) her entire flower clusters have started to look darker and when you look close all the calyx's are purple. Some of the leaves are almost black. She's got about 50% cloudy trichs. I was thinking of taking her at day 80 of 12/12 - which would be next Sunday. She is getting very difficult to manage, I snapped a lower branch of earlier whilst moving her back in the flower tent after a flush. She will need another watering before next Sunday, I can do that in the tent though to save moving her again. I would to take her at her best - she looks pretty amazing now though. :-)

I harvested Stinky Girl at day 72. I did some more training on the big bushy veg girl and she ended up too big for the veg area lol, so I decided on the harvest for Stinky and to move Big Bushy into the flower tent. I was thinking of taking Stinky Girl to day 75, so not too early. She had 24 hours darkness before the chop. These pictures are right before I chopped her. Very pretty, dense and easy to manicure buds - smell is amazing, super strong and sweet cheese skunk haze.

They feel like the sort of buds that will keep most of their size as they dry. Very dense and swollen. This is the girl I would mother and clone if this had been my wish. She is the shortest in stature, but probably equal highest yielder (ok, tall girl might yield more, but she is hard to manage - Stinky Girl could be vegged longer with her shorter stature. Great plant). You could sea of green this pheno and fit 9 plants in 10 litre pots in a square metre and pull 2 ounces from each easy under 600W with 6 weeks veg. Or train one for 3 months and pull a ton from one (I am so hoping the big bushy girl I've just put in to flower is this pheno).

Oh and as a little smoke report type post - I love the way that a hit of this Sugar Punch starts to work on you whilst the hit is still in your lungs. If you leave it held in long enough you get crazy head rushes. :-)

I took testers so couldn't give an accurate weight for the first one (Stinky's Sister). From the look of the way she filled up a big jar, after me having tucked in to quick dry testers as she dried, I would say she yielded 2.5 ounces fully dried (fully dried, not UK standard 'dry').

I will avoid having testers of Stinky Girl as she dries and will give a pre cure dry weight for her. I can do the same with Tall Hazey Lady but she has just lost a branch. I must admit to not be that bothered about weight - but will share in this thread for completeness. Such a subjective thing though, when you factor in how different various peoples ideas of 'dry' is. To me I'm happy if the girls look like they've produced big flowers for the size of the plant - and Stinky Girl and Tall Hazey Lady certainly don't disappoint me on that front.

The flower tent was a little less full than I would normally have liked this last run. There were meant to be 3 Kosher Kush in there too but they went hermie early. I don't think there will be any wasted space this time round however. The two trained Sugar Punch that are in there now - 1 for nearly 2 weeks and the other has been in there a few days - have almost filled up the entire 120x120cm space. Just a little corner where Tall Hazey Lady (THL) is fitted in - where I will squeeze in a Kolossus once I harvest THL. This will be one serious canopy. I'll wait a bit before posting pics as I want the impact to be striking. :-)

nice!!! how much u think u hauled in?
I weighed Stinky Girl as I put her in jars last night. The buds were crispy on the outside but there was not an audible snap from the stems. What I like to think of as the pre cure dry stage (a stage most UK commercial dealers never seem to get past). After 12 hours in the jars the moisture had evenly spread throughout the buds - definitely more moist than is proper but commercially acceptable in the UK. Result = 105.5 Grams (that's just about 3.75oz) - no loss from that after the 12 hours in jars either.

After a full day out drying on a plate the buds are crisp on the outside again, still no 'snap' from the branches but I would happily buy this and not feel like it was too moist. Weighed it again just for an idea of weight loss through curing. Total weight = 101.9 Grams. Central cola dry weight = 25.4 Grams.

Couple of pics as before I put them back in the jars. That's a 12inch vinyl they're sat on;

It certainly smokes alright :eyesmoke:

Tastiest of the lot already. Heavy skunk/cheese flavour that lingers for a long time after a bong hit. Strong too. This will be very popular.

Thanks man! :-)

The job's not totally done yet though. I decided to let Tall Hazey Lady go another 3 days or so (which will take her to 80 days 12/12). She's just about ready, but the trichs are only about 50% cloudy, there are one or two amber, but I feel that a few more days will be worth it. I haven't posted any pics of her in a while as she had her last watering in the tent and she will have today's watering in the tent. Will certainly post harvest pics though. Many of her leaves have gone crazy autumn (fall) colours - mad combinations of yellow, purple and black. I'll share her in a few days!

Plus...there are the two bushy girls that are now in the flower tent. The one that was troubled in veg has been in there longest - it will be 3 weeks under 12/12 for her on Wednesday, and I will post pics of her then, alongside the pics of her the day I flipped her to flower. She is very impressive; short and very bushy with many many tops, some are now stretching hard. Resin appeared on the already formed buds a couple of days ago. The other one has been in the flower tent a week tomorrow. She was far quicker to turn around from her tying down prior to being moved to the flower tent (I did the same with the troubled girl, lst'd her hard the day I flipped her, and there was no upwards stretch for a week. Took her that long to right herself towards the light again properly). They are both similar heights now, which is great - even though I have strong suspicions one is the tall pheno from my last flower run and the other is the short pheno. Still too early to be 100% on pheno id yet on the new girls though - will be 2+ weeks for the bigger one and soon for the other one (if those stretchy branches keep stretching much passed this week then she is the sat dom pheno imo).

Watch this space - more pics and smoke reports to come! :-)

looking forward to seeing future grows from you
I got my order in at Sannies for the strains for my next grow. I decided on Skackzilla (Shack (Sannies Jack X Shiva skunk) X Super Silver Haze) - and Sannies Jack. Both heavy sat doms again. The Shackzilla is said to have amazing SSH phenos like the Sugar Punch. I intend on 6-8 weeks veg and heavy lst for the first run. Put them in the flower tent when space becomes available. I'm going to try and keep things semi perpetual, so the second run with these strains will be with plants that will have been vegged for a little longer potentially - maybe 12 weeks. See what happens with a long veg on a proper sat dom - I predict the Jack might present some major challenges, I can't wait! :-)

Some pics of Tall Hazey Lady - day 79 of 12/12. She will be harvested tomorrow. Rather stunning looking girl, with amazing colours and unique smells. Very much looking forward to trying her.

That's the final one of the first flower run gone from the tent now. Allowed me to lower the light for the next ones, some pics to follow.

The flower tent with both the trained Sugar Punch girls. Very even canopy, but the nearer plant is almost 2 weeks ahead of the rear one - so there may be some uneven stretching for the future. I'll post pics of each individual plant in the future and give more details of each one when I do.

It would appear that the smaller bushy girl is the same pheno as Stinky's Sister, with the bigger bushy girl being the Sativa pheno same as Tall Hazey Lady. Still not 100% sure, but it seems right now. I will post pictures a bit later, share how they're looking.

Oh and a little report on Tall Hazey Lady - she is STRONG!!! Crazy head rushes and an increase in light and colour sensitivity making it feel like a mild trip. The more you smoke the more intense it gets. I hit a .5g yesterday and experienced an extremely intense psychedelic effect for about 30 minutes followed by about 2 hours of gently diminishing relaxation. Lovely strain, winning pheno. :-)

i've really been enjoying everything i've been hearing about this strain. and when i came across your log, i sat and read it from beginning to end.
It was a great read, very thorough. I think it's still sold out. but i would love to get my hands on some seeds. i just again, wanted to congratulate you on such a fine grow, and thank you for sharing with us.

If i was looking for a mother, how many seeds do you think would be a good starting place? 5? 10? 20?
also, i think ive only seen this strain under the feminized section. do you know if it comes in regular?

Thanks again :)

It's been a pleasure growing these plants, and sharing the experience with you guys. Thanks for the kind messages. High as a kite on the Sativa dominant pheno (Tall Hazey Lady) right now. So energising and uplifting. Very functional, but with added colour enhancement and movement sensitivity = psychedelic trippiness. May inhibit the functional qualities in some, but makes me giggle as I get involved myself.

Sannie says the Sugar Punch will be back in stock within 6 weeks (might be less than that now). I will be stocking up when they are. Gonna crack some Shackzilla and Sannies Jack in the next couple of days, will do a journal for them.

I got at least 1 properly good plant that would have been perfect as a mother from a five pack of Sugar Punch. Looks like I have another of the same pheno flowering now, but a more nitrogen sensitive example of that pheno. Stinky Girl from in this thread is the one I'm talking about. I think she has a strong Super Silver Haze influence - big foxtail buds. She was the shortest, yet yielded about as much as the tall sativa pheno, but in only 10 weeks as opposed to 12 for the sativa. You could veg that pheno untrained till 20 inches and then flower and they would still end up under 4ft. With the growth structure I could fit 9 of them in 10 litre pots in the 120x120x200 tent. Tempted to try and find that pheno again when they're back in stock and do just that. I feel a stupid yield could be possible. Like significantly over a pound from one 600W HPS. 3oz per plant sort of figures.

I've got some pictures of the bushy girls from the flower tent. Will upload them and post them tonight. Almost out of room in the tent. Proper full canopy. Increasing humidity too after the seriously low levels of winter; might have to invest in that dehumidifier.

That would be good.
I need some better yielding genetics.
I dont wanna sacrifice quality, but I know there are better than what I have with more yield.

Do you find sativas in general yield more than indicas?
