Sometimes they recycle you, if they do it enough they boot your ass with failure to adapt.

If you have a failure to adapt on your past record it isn't necessarily a bad thing as I said, it can be a good bad or indifferent action.

I fucking hate water. If I had tried to be a sailor I would surely have been discharged with a failure to adapt.

I could in theory walk into the army recruiting office and explain myself, sign the paperwork, bam. All of that can happen as soon as I return to my home of record.

Bureaucracy has many loop holes for good and bad reasons, look at UCMJ that shit is so generalized that if they want to charge you with something they will succeed with prosecuting also.
