Schwazzing micro-nutrients

Hello everyone.

i found posts about schwazzing but i didn’t find any conversations about what and why micronutrients.
i got 1m2 tent dwc lst (clone) that i know will produce upto 600grams under my marshydro 1600w.

anyhow, i would like to copy joshua hapkins and try his technique.

i know if i go with my ghe trio + calmag + hydroguard and schwazz, i just rip them off and they gonna hate me. (Rip my yield)

some1 who knows about this technique and understands micro/macro nutrients should come here and tell me what To feed when schwazzing.i’m also interested about why to feed them this and that.

i got big airpump, good humidity and temp controls. (Dont have co2, lvls are around 600ppm

atm feeding ec 1.7 ph 5.6-5.9

apprrciate your answers already. Cheers.

I am giving leaf stripping a go this cycle as well. You didn't find anything nutrient specific with schwazzing because you don't need to change anything with your feed schedule or pH. All that stuff remains the same.

Schwazzing requires removal of the vast majority of the large fan leaves just prior to going into flower and again following the completion of the flower stretch. Anything below that first set of large fans on each branch comes off.

Is it worth it?

It's a little too early to tell for certain. I am only near the end Week 5 of flower and don't have a definitive answer yet. The bud below the main tops do look like they are beefier - but I will reserve final judgement once they are harvested in the next 5 - 7 weeks.

... StareCase did you lollipop as well as schwazzing? ...
Hey Hobbes ... yes I lollipop.

With the SCROG, I always lollipop below the netting. Nothing worthwhile comes from way down there so I nip all the leaves and scraggler branches off.

I think some strains do well with schwazzing and others it nearly kills the yields. Strains that make larger, leafier colas seem to like it more than strains that have long internodes and lots of smaller buds. The best way to tell what your strain likes is just do half the plant. Then you can see the difference.

Fuck ... I never thought about a true side by side comparison using 1/2 of the plant. Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees, as it were.

Both of these strains are real leafy girls that produce good sized flowers and from what I have seen so far, these two are good with schwazzing. I am comparing pics from similar stages of previous grows without leaf stripping to these schwazzed plants. You wouldn't know that I have done two pretty significant rounds of leaf removal looking at the canopy.

But - even if the final flowers aren't any larger, at least the manicuring time should be reduced.
