Hey guys, I'd like your advice on this, because this will be my first time ScrOG-ing...
Basically, I have a 10'x10' room that I want to dedicate to a 1000wHPS ScrOG hydroponic grow room.
My screen will be 6'x6' and my plants will be grown Rubbermaid containers (which are about 1.5'x2') arranged in the following pattern:
Would you suggest I grow 36 plants in a 6'x6' ScrOG under 1000wHPS, grown in a recirculating drip system?
Bonus Question:
If grown correctly, how much would you expect me to yield if I gave them 1 month of veg to fill the screen and 3 months of flower?

That is only 27 watts per sq. ft...... should have 50-75.... cut that size in half and you would have the lowest I would ever go. Temps are hard to control but if you drop below 50 w per sq. ft., you will loose density of buds and light penetration down to the top 6-8 in.
I ran a 3x5ft room with 1000 and it was good.

36 plants?? with 1 1000 watter???Thats a lot of plants.I grow 8-12 plants with 1000 watts of light.I KNOW I CAN GROW MORE BUT NOT 36 IN A SCROG MAYBE in a sea of green with smaller plants,sorry bout the captions ,accident just too lazy to re do.What type of hydro setup you going to use????

I will be building my own recirculating drip system, but how many plants would you suggest to ScrOG under a 1000w Hortilux SuperHPS (150,000 lumens) and what size area would you suggest it take up?

Here's a few of those factors:
Seeds: Nirvana Wonder Woman (feminized)
Screen area - 25 sq. ft.
Plants - 25
Grow method - Recirculating hydroponic drip system
Light - 1000w Hortilux SuperHPS (150,000 lumens)

not familiar with the strain. you have to grow it one year and you may be able to make a ball park guess next year. alot of other factors come into play also.

25 plants seems like a bit much especially for a scrog grow unless like I mentioned before you grow small plants,I plan on growing 22-24 plants with my 1000 watter in the future,but with the help of a light mover.I would cut the number by half of that without.

If 25 plants is too much for 1 1000w Hortilux SuperHPS (150,000 lumens) under a Sunleaves Aurora6 reflector, then what do you think about a 4'x4' grid with 16 plants?
...of course, there WILL be reflective material helping the light reach the outer edges of my screen...

To be honest with you, I was planning on using 25 5-gallon buckets until just now when I decided to use 16 5-gallon buckets, but now that you mention it, I AM going to be using a 4'x4' area...and I HAVE heard of 4'x4' grow trays...
...but please, enlighten me on these grow trays you speak of...

harshbucket, read the beginning of the thread. there are links i posted earlier i think.
Scranny420 even knowing all the factors im not going to be able to tell you what i think your yield will be. read up on what people yield per sq ft with a given wattage. im not fully fo shures, just try something and record what happens and how much you yield. try something different on multiple plants at the same time (different nutes, different flower and veg times, different watering times) with enough plants you could make some general observations and use other factors such as temperature, distance of light to canopy, humidity later on to learn even more. i think you could swing 16 plants. just let yield be yield and learn from it. if you want to make some serious money with this stuff your going to need more lights. btw, im not too familiar with hydroponics read alot on it but never experienced it first handed.

What's going to happen is that water will stay in an external reservoir. From there it will be pumped to a drip ring that will drip down, along the roots, to the bottom of the bucket, where it will then drain out, back into the reservoir...from there, the process will repeat itself, so if I ever needed to change the water, I only have to drain the reservoir that actually holds my water, not the buckets that hold my roots...because except for the little bit of water there is that's stuck on the roots and at the bottom of the bucket, there's practically no water in there to change out, and whatever is stuck in the bucket while I'm changing out my water will only get flushed out when the new water is cycled through the system.
