Since a little over 50% owns stocks I think most people would care if the market collapsed. Rich people are not the problem. Just need to tax them right. Most of my friends are fine with higher taxes but they aren’t campaigner for them either.

Yeah, they tricked the population by hinging retirement upon success or failure of their 401k, and now we're locked in to the machine. Good news is my 401k went up like 25% in 2020.

Yup, 25% from most people I know. Nothing wrong with the American dream, we have to fix the playing board, not throw the game out. I also feel like you know, I see plenty of people learn how to weld, drive trucks, become electricians, plumbers etc. There are just so many ways for people to pick themselves up in this country but so many don't take advantage of what's out there. And I'm sorry, a lot of it is because they don't seem to be willing to put the work in. If you're poor and not willing to work 2 shitty jobs....or go to night school working 1 shitty job to get a good job, I don't know what to tell ya. Your grandparents were willing.
