Second/Third Grow(s): Onyx & BCN Diesel Autos and Wild Roses

Just started germinating my seeds yesterday in my new and improved grow closet. No pics yet, will post some of the new set-up and I'm gonna try to post in this journal more than I did last grow. I have a personal grow diary of my own and sometimes don't feel like recurring the same info twice. Probably, I'll update this when I have sprouts, then once a week.:leaf:
 
Wow, two of my seeds sprouted already! 1 of the Wild Roses and 1 of the BCN Diesels. The other BcN hasn't officially sprouted, but I can see the rock wool over the seed lifting up. Maybe my brother's buddy's tips for better germination actually work! I am psyched to see if any others sprouted yet, but my little terror is up from her non- nap and DH is at Home Depot getting j hooks and stuff to hang my HPS. Have to wait, oh well. If anymore have popped, I'll take some pics now that my iPhone is charged. More later or tomorrow.

Good luck on the germinating. Since they're in RW cubes right now..
Will you being doing hydro, or just straight into soil once fully rooted?
 
I use hydro. 2 HydroFarm Emily's Gardens, one in each area. Next grow, I may upgrade my flower area to a bigger unit and use both smaller ones for Veg.
 
Well, lots going on over the last couple of weeks! I beheaded my BCN Diesels with the edge of the humidity dome. One survived and is doing well. The other was a goner, as one onyx that somehow dried out. All the others were plenty moist, so I don't know how. Popped an Mi5 and another BCN Diesel. The Mi5 is doing great the BCN didn't pop. So, I'll have 3 Autos.
As for my Wild Roses are doing great! Especially the 2 that didn't get damaged. My third one, I planted too deep, then thought she was dead, so I germinated a Mekong High, but left the the 3rd Wild Rose alone. Now all 4 are doing great! The first 2 Wild Roses have awesome roots already busting out of the rockwool. All 4 photo goirls are in my Veg area, happily thriving in their new homes.
My Auto Girls, however, are still in the germination tray! My HPS gets super hot, so I need to have Hubby install an inline fan to the light to cool it. I'll use my current intake fan as a second exhaust and add an oscillating fan to each area. Hopefully, that will all get accomplished this weekend. But it is a busy one. DH is working today and tomorrow we have a Family Christening to attend, so we'll see. They are fine for now, but I really need to move them soon!
 
Okay, pics 1 & 4 are a Wild Rose Clone taken from Paige 2 days ago. Pic 2 is my scrawny Mekong High, Janya. Pic 3 is Paige. Next, come my Autos: Mi5, Jane Bond, is pic 5. Pic 6 is my BCN Diesel Auto, Mary. Back to my photoperiod Ladies. Pic 7, 8, 9 & 10 are Piper, a Wild Rose. Pic 11 is a shot of my Flowering Area. Jane Bond is in the back and Mary's up front. Pic 12 is a group shot of my Veg Area, in back are Piper and Paige, up front we have Phoebe, my 3rd Wild Rose and Janya. Pics 13, 14, &15 are Mary.
I have some more pics with my other clones and Phoebe that I'll post next!

Okay: 1-Group Shot, 2 is Phoebe, who rose from the dead, 3 is Paige where I topped her, 4 is Paige's clone, 5 is Janya, 6 & 12 are Jane Bond, 7 is Paige, 8 is Piper's Clone, 9 & 11 are Piper, 10 is Janya's clone. I'll post a full update on what's been happening the last few weeks in a bit. Time for a couple of Bong hits!:hump:

I'm just gonna summarize events up til now! Well, one of my BCN Diesels didn't sprout and I killed an Onyx and one was Male, so I'm down to 2 Autos. Mary, my survivng BCN Diesel and Jane Bond, my Mi5, who is about 10 days younger than Mary, but is Flowering already. Mary is supposed to take unto 2 weeks longer, so she should start to flower soon! Now, I had put Phoebe down too far in my rock wool and she didn't sprout as fast as Paige and Piper. I didn't think she would, so I germed my Mekong High. Then Phoebe, poor girl, was a victim of my mishap with my dome, so she got inadvertently topped, way early. But she survived! She is a little slower growing than her sisters, but is starting to bush up nicely now. Piper is just so bushy it's unbelievable! In my first grow, my plants looked like a few sets of leaves on sticks after 36 days!
I am planning to keep Piper or her clone as my Mama. I'm thinking the Clone will become my Mama since I want all those juicy buds I can get from Piper! I kinda over did it, so I may keep both Wild Rose Clones as Mamas. I really can't have 5 plants in my Flower Area, they would be way too crowded by the time they were done stretching!
 
DAY 38. All my ladies are doing good. My Paige clone may not make it, though. Her leaves are turning brown, probably because of the nutes, I'm guessing. Piper's clone is looking good and it gets the same nutes. Janya's clone also looks good, better than her Mama, IMO.
 
So, I've decided to come out and play and start doing my journal updates here instead of in my profile. This first update will be pictues up til now. When I take todays pics, I'll do a full update.

13 is a group shot of my Flower Area. 14 & 15 are my new clones(no names till I know they'll survive); 16 is Melinda(Wild Rose Clone, 2 weeks old); 17 is Janya(Mekong High) she's my LST attempt and the runt of the group, though starting to fill in with new growth. 18 is Phoebe(Wild Rose Mama) & 19 is a shot of Jane Bond. I call those 2 buds the twins.
So, all in all I'm happy with how my grow is going. Hey msbotwin finally made it! Your girls are beautiful I am so jealous! Idk a thing about hydro maybe you could give me a bit of info? I wish I could rep you as you deserve it! But gotta spread some love :D I'm sub'd now :bigjoint:

I tried to rep you too, but couldn't! Thanks for stopping by. I'll give you info about hydro, but most hydro growers would consider my systems lame. They're small, only 2 gallon res each. It' like a "How to Grow for Dummies" type set-up. I put in my Nutes, keep the water at the full line. Can't overwater and I can under water only if I don't top off the reservoirs. I refeed once I've replaced the full 2 gallons of water. Just like with soil, you need to keep the ph in check, but with hydro there are no buffers. I don't really know what that means, though! LOL. I stick my ph meter in, if it's too high, I add ph down. Although, I haven't had to do that much. Now that I have my nute amounts dialed in, I don't even need to check ppm very often. Let me know if there's any specific info you want!

I had a pretty good day. My 2 year old is making me feel ancient, though! The nice weather has been a mixed blessing! It's great to be out in the warm weather and the kids tend not to bicker outside, but damn! Chasing a toddler around all day is exhausting!
