If part of the voting rights act is struck down, will the people who are surely, eventually going to be disenfranchised, going to have to resort to riots before things will be made right or can the U.S. Gov.still act in the interest of it's voters

The government doesn't seem to be acting in the interest of its voters now, why would that change?

How can you say that? We are governing this as best we can. Lawyers, guns and money....where have you been?

You can sit there and say, you think this or that needs fixing....but weren't you conscious last Nov? This is the will of the People.

Or you saying that if the entire Congress changed hands it would not be different?

Or if Mitt, was elected and the Congress went the other way, all the same? No will of the voters, at all?

Exactly. We don't like the way it is we have only ourselves to blame.
actually, the purposely long lines, designed to discourage people from voting and to encourage attrition, were solely the domain of one party who loses when more people vote.

Oh I thought that was a bread line and the poster was from your run for mayor.

IAC, only ourselves to blame....this party or that. I never stand in line. I vote absentee. Who is the egg dome then?

You seem to blame the side that has always been ineffective even at suppressing the vote. You blame the side that has to embrace the Far Right coo-coos to even get elected.

I blame the side that mostly stays in power by bald face, sitting in a wheel chair and having fireside liar chats and the side that has mostly fucked it up, big time.

But, the other side is a joke, imo.

Good for you... Maybe Section 8 would be a more fitting title

the egg dome would still be the republican party of which you are a part, and their quest to make voting more difficult.

you guys know you stand no chance of winning in a fair fight, so you rig the fight.

and you still lose. to obama. twice.

be proud!

now why would you see a long line of black people and assume they are lining up for low income housing instead of to vote?
Section 8 - Military discharge for folks deemed mentally unfit for military service.

The purple vote signs gave it away... Didn't even know it also refers to rental subsidies...

doers mentally unfit for life... But good to see you're as PC as ever...

I'm no Republican....registered Independent. And how can voting be difficult if we all can vote by mail?

lol.

you had your cock so far up romney's ass that it was a joke. independent my ass.

voting gets difficult when your governor purposely takes steps to make sure there are 8 hour long lines awaiting you should you not remember to request an absentee and decide to go vote in person.

how dare people go vote in person, eh?

Floridians endured election chaos and marathon voting lines this year, largely thanks to reduced early voting hours, voter purges, and voter registration restrictions pushed by Republican legislators. In an exclusive report by the Palm Beach Post, several prominent Florida Republicans are now admitting that these election law changes were geared toward suppressing minority and Democratic votes. Former governor Charlie Crist (R-FL) and former GOP chairman Jim Greer (R-FL), as well as several current GOP members, told the Post that Republican consultants pushed the new measures as a way to suppress Democratic voters. Crist expanded early voting hours in 2008 despite party pressure, but Gov. Rick Scott (R-FL) targeted early voting almost immediately when he took office in 2011. Scott’s administration claimed the new laws were meant to curb in-person voter fraud, despite the fact that an individual in Florida is more likely to be struck by lightning than commit voter fraud.

Our Govenor tried to do the voter suppression thing. Got struck down
But he did manage to fuck up Drivers licenses so that if he got his voter suppression laws in place and you decided to vote
Instead of a license you got a xeroxed copy of what your license would look like and the promise the real thing would be in the mail within a month
