Never. I don't fuck with Cheeses. I'm writing a letter to Congress, asking that Cheese strains be the only marijuanas that stay illegal

I just think that Skunk, as many of us know and remember it, is extinct. The closest we'll get anymore is strains with "skunky" undertones, at best
I know i get its not your thing but the s1s are fuckall like the mother is my exact point and more relevant to you the s1s dont turn out like you would think actually to breed with cheese hybrids tend to hold the cheesiness better than s1s its not easy to lock that trait down why theres no real 100% representation of the cheese in seed yet imo in the s1s theres some fruity mango ones theres also some nasty acrid as fuck phenos that are hard to describe nasty being the only word for it theres even a nasty mushroom skunk tasting pheno i couldnt smoke and i like the weird stuff in cannabis but that one was just strange

ive been growing the same stuff for 40 years. My plants are so inbred they grow really strange with odd leaves and deformed growth., i still get some flashback plants to the original afgani skunk brought to me in the 80's from a buddy in the service. i keep the really odd ones just for fun. The flashback plants are the ones i try to keep reproducing. They have nice broad leaves and stink from 30 feet away. Its been harder as i go to get the amount of Normal plants no matter how good the saved plants look and grow.
I have just received some bompton berries xwilson and some white thaiger xwilson from another good buddy. looking forward to some mad scientist cross breeding.
if you want some of my twisted up genetics from the ol afgani' let me know. i still have some seeds left with another seed batch coming... i still cant stop with the original no matter how one eyed the kids are.

Well things from mazari balkhi are supposed to be the stinkiest of the ghanis but even in other parts like hopar valley in Pakistan they can be stinky too there all tied tho they all are or are related to afghani turkestani strains from the north of Afghanistan brought there long ago by the Uighurs on a side note this ghani skunk you speak of was it a hybrid of skunk x ghani or a straight afghan in your opinion im curious?

Ive never thought skunk as I know it came from Sk1. We had stinky skunk here as far back as 1977. Thats when I first smoked it, and I bought Sk1 seeds when they were first available, and never found skunk as I know it in Sk1. Or Super Skunk. Skunk 1 has always been more sweet/floral, with some exceptions for more acrid smells, but never straight up reeking skunk.
We lost our Skunk to the cops before Sk1 was even available except to a select few in the 70s.

The guy we got our skunk from was from Meigs County Ohio. In 1977. He claimed it was a cross of Kerela, and an unnamed Indica. He was also the originator of Meigs County Gold. Willie Nelson used to get weed off of this guy. His name was William Keith "NOODLES" Hayes. He died in 2020 at the age of 76. He died at St Marys Medical Center in Huntington West Virginia. He got rated out in the late 90s, and did 6-7 years in Federal Prison for cultivation.

Not saying Noodles invented skunky skunk, but I find it curious that skunk became almost nonexistant, after Noodles got busted. He was also a well known breeder all through central Appalachia. I mentioned Noodles to a guy on Instagram, and he instantly knew who he was. This guy is also old school, and about 75 years old. Noodles would be 80 next year.

My buddy met him in Athens Ohio, when a band he was in backed up James Gang. Noodles told him where he lived, and my buddy got the first Indica I ever saw from him. This was in 1972. It grew about 5 feet tall, and grew like a beach ball, and my buddy nicknamed it Beach Ball. It was super choke, and was deep red when dried. It would choke you to death every hit. And make you dizzy.

But we had Skunk almost 10 years before we ever heard of Skunk #1.

Mel Frank got Sk1 seeds from Skunkman in 1988. We had skunk in 1977.

We also never called it RKS. We always just referred to it as Skunk. My buddy grew it from 1977-1984, and a so called friend got into trouble, and ratted him out, and the cops got it. Got the Beach Ball Indica too.

"I just think that Skunk, as many of us know and remember it, is extinct. " Know why? That is because you all have to have 'chlorine pantyhose" or "Godzilla x Bambi" and don't keep what you have. There are secrets in even your crappiest phenos but you gotta keep mixing this one with that one.

Leads to as Jodrey now says "homogenious crap". Keep mixing and all the good stuff will be gone like skunk.

Sweet skunks are very good. Lots of keepers to be found, sweet and fruity, big yield, short flowering, great cerebral effect. What's not to like?
