Seed Maturity

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for a seed to mature?, luckily 2 were brown and germinated. The other was green and white and didnt germinate.

If i receive a greeny one next time how do you get it to mature.

That one did come in a mini test tube though so maybe that was where it should have been kept for a while longer. Shame as that was the most expensive seed and came in really fancy packaging

Seeds won't mature after being removed from the plant. They may dry but development doesn't progress after harvest. If you received a green seed it was harvested prematurely. It may turn a tanish color as the chlorophyll degrades but it will always be immature.

That's my experience for sure.

After I've harvested seeds, I touch my finger on all of the white or otherwise immature seeds, and just eat them. They are all hollow on the inside, typically indicating that they were not even close to viable.

Oh no! Ive ordered another 3 seeds from discreet seeds and i messaged them to ask if they will be mature! The reply-

'We order all seeds in to guarantee freshness'

I think i could cry.

Obviously i dont want fresh ones that wont germinate. I know the website says for 'souvenire purposes only' but oh jeez as if anyone buys seeds for that purpose.

Oh well ill have to see what arrives this week.

When i last grew a small plant i dont remember seeing seeds to harvest/reuse- anyone know how this works?

Its dog shit here in UK cuz buying from dealer costs £50 for less than 5 grammes

Bro when they say freshness they mean seeds that aren't old and dried out. No one is actually selling seeds for novelty purposes that's to cover their ass. Tell them what happened and I'm betting either the seed was packaged on accident or it just happened to not germinate. Which does happen as well. Its nature and nature isnt exact. It doesnt sound like anyone was trying to pull a fast one on you..
As far as your previous plant not having seeds, marijuana needs a male and female plant to produce seeds. The female plant grows hairs and gets sticky to catch pollen. The male creates pollen sacks that burst and fertilize the female which then creates seeds. However this will take away from thc production.

It certainly would make money no doubts there. But things are never perfect and they certainly dont get resolved quickly lol. If you're in the States I've heard good things from Neptune seed bank. I'm going to be trying them this week and I'll let you know how it goes if you remind me lol

Not sure if you care to know but I placed my order with Neptune last night. I received my tracking numbers about 12 hours after I placed my order. En route to be delivered in two or three days it seems.

They are for souvenir purposes because it is illegal for you to plant them. If they happen to end up in dirt and grow, that’s on you. There are no sites selling inactive “souvenir” seeds on purpose.

Yeah lol. Classic "gray area"
It's like saying I'm buying a water pipe and not a bong for weed at a smoke shop. Because of stupid laws not being fixed and censorship, you just can't say shit like that. I'm sure there are some good reasons though but whatever lol

speaking of gray area... how do cops know you are growing weed and not hemp if they raid you? Did they somehow check?? I think with hemp becoming more legal, the gray area for cops being able to warrant a search is going to get huge for hemp vs cannabis. Just make a thing that says "less than .1% THC hemp plant" on it or something... IDK lol. Something silly i've been thinking.
