Shaking weed to trim it?

Damn this is one of the main things that has changed about weed... shits to pretty...cleaned all up... I love the look and smoke of the old school sugar leaf buds... once dried out and closely curled into the buds... It smokes great

I chill, drought and shake the plant at week 7 and the trichs that grow back by week are twice as big. Shaken Baby Tek. You HAVE to call it that.

If you grow your buds well, trimming shouldn't take too long
Spoken like someone that hasn't trimmed MAC 1 or Durban Poison. Some strains just make so much more leaf. A strain with low leaf to calyx ratio like say Wedding Cake trims easy and fast, while strains like MAC 1 have so much more bud leaf that it takes more time and patience to get a good manicure. Also depends on quantity, hand trimming 50 + pounds every harvest gets old.

So a friend tells me he met a kid who dries complete plants, then rough cuts it and shakes it in a cardboard box to "trim" it. I think I heard of this before as well to be honest. How prevalent is this style? The weed was good, hard nugs that resembled closely trimmed buds.....'cept no crystals on the outside. But I tell you, there are many days I feel like I would do this rather than properly trim.
I usually shake the bitch then slap her and tell her to roll me a Dobie. Bitch! bongsmilie

Shhhh... Someone already called me out man . And yes I definitely haven't had a high leaf to calyx plant to be frank haha.

Well at least collect all the trichomes that fall off. Here I am so worried about beating my buds up I sold my Twister T4 trimmer. Meanwhile ppl are beating their buds up in cardboard boxes.
I used a T4 for many moons simply due to the costs of running a trim crew for a week verses one day. Went back to whole plant hung and hand trimmed. Now I use the trimbag and hang 2ft branches.

I used a T4 for many moons simply due to the costs of running a trim crew for a week verses one day. Then I got feed up with destroying my buds and my main broker stopped buying stuff that was ran through a machine.

I went back to all hung up and hand trimmed and payed 3 G’s minimum to get a round ready to go. Then I saw a Trimbag at the endoexpo and said fuck it, for $300 I’ll give it a shot and see what happens. I now have four trim bags and do everything with them. I literally trimmed up 10 lbs while my girl watched the new bachelor episode.

Trimbag does about 75% of the work and I was literally told last time that the packs had the best trim they had seen in years and they assumed it was hand trimmed.

Over the years I have tried everything from Bonzai Hero’s, T2, T4, even a Tom’s Tumbler. One of my main expenses has always been processing for market. Plus with home invasions on the rise here security is more important then ever. I can do work with a few homies and I grow MAC1, Grease Monkey, Gelatto etc.

Each strain is different I only give Grease Monkey and MAC1 10 rotations. I am also talking about processing somewhat large amounts. If I was trimming 5 lbs or less I would do that by hand with the wife.
Bust me a link to these bags. And I would love to see some pics of your before dry buds and the same buds like halfway through and after the bag shaking. You got my attention and I have no problem buying and trying.

I know thats what i was thinking lol, i watch people trimming on youtube while i trim, gets me amped up
I start smoking scissor hash and zone out for 8 hrs a day trimming. I maka a gawd dam mess everywhere for 3 days a month. Energy drinks, iso bottles, containers, jars, wraps, pipes, ashtrays, extra scissors etc.

Yeah I gotta stand up too after a while. I fuxing hate trimming but love consuming. :-)

i've got two table next to each other, one about 6 inches higher than the other one, when my feet start to hurt, i sit down at the shorter table, when my back starts to hurt, i stand up at the higher table...of course, i run a perpetual and only deal with one plant a week...usually only takes me about 2 hours, but it's every week....
Perpetual? Once a week? How do you do once a week? How many tents do you have?

I'm too small for machines, only a pound a month. Worst six hours of my month I tell ya. After 20 years of growing I have zero love for trimming anymore. Good music, good weed, allergy medicine and a massage afterwards gets me through it. I got bad feet so the 5 hours of standing kill me.

I don't think it is my style though, I don't trim that close. Some of the weed I am seeing it looks like they are trimming right into the bud. Like they are trying to give the bud a crew cut. I give mine 70's porn bush trim.
Freak out FUNNY !!! Trimming to 70's . . . Im thinking the Box Shaki g, is a Trichrome gathering. Flower versatality holds up to a certain point. Couple yrs ago, i was getting flower that was Machine Trimmed. Horrid. Flower intially looked like rolled in sugar. When done, trikes, removed. Great on T8me trim. Bad on the Bowl . . . Unless, one was not expecting those BEAUTIFULL shinny crystals. IMO hand trim, is only way. I know norhing. I am not a vrower. Just tiny knowledge( out dated ) todays world of mm. Awwww taking. Good luck. G.

They make these work desks that can be raised now for ergonomics if you ever need the space and want to get rid of one.

I prefer super clean trim
With the right plant I think it actually tastes better with a little leaf in it. I don't give it to people like that, but every once in a while you find a random bud you forgot with a little too much leaf and they make great joints.
