hey every1,

here are some pics of my outdoor girl that is around 8 weeks into flower.
the i have been following her progress with a 20x microscope and when i
checked the trichs 3 days ago, and by the looks of her, i thought she would
need atleast another week or so.

but i just checked then and seem alot more have gone amber, on the very top
colas they is around 50% amber, and lower down more like 20%.

although it seems that most of the amber trichs are the smaller ones, and the
taller ones, (capitate-stalked) seem to have nearly all remained cloudy, although a few have turned amber.
I read the growfaq article on trichs and it said to go by the tall capitate-stalked
trichs, but im thinkin of chopping cos so many small trichs have gone amber
what do u think??

im confused as from the pics, they look like they could do with a bit longer
but seeing the trichs today, im tempted to harvest NOW

please help

Well, the trichs don't lie. When they're ready, they're ready!!! Sweet looking plant, I'd say you've got your answer under the microscope and are ready to harvest. Good job!

the hairs tell more. see all the white ones. that's new growth. as long as there is new growth they are still growing. looks like weeks yet. :blsmoke:

could be some sativa now like arjan's haze that can just keep flowerin and flowerin and flowerin forever. makes me want to grow 1 for like 30 weeks and be like sup.

i've made it 77 days indoors.
i know a guy that won't pull ANYTHING earlier than 12 weeks. when you drop a nugget on the hood of a car in bounces three times it's so dense.

Peoples advice on this site can be frustrating....I've read many threads about amber trichs....Consensus seems to be that after trichs turn amber colored you are losing potency....But, If the plant is still growin (like FDD pointed out) How can you be losing potency...Frustrating man!!!!!!!:(

thanks for the advice everyone

fdd and others i will let her go for another week or so, i definetly didnt think she looked ready, and yeah the hairs look way to fresh and new for the bud to be ready, but i became confused lookin at the trichs....for some reason i see ALOT more amber trichs when i look under my scope inside with a small but powerful halogen desk lamp than i do when i take a look outside with natural sunlight....freaky

the strain is unknown, just some bagseed that i got but she really looks beautiful, the pinky colour of the hairs is tempting me to take a big bite! although this pink colour is not mimicked on my outdoor hyrdo girl from the same seed batch.... so im not sure wats going on....?

peace everyone and ill keep u posted
