yeah i know. thats a great plant. but where are the tie downs? i don't even see any on the vegging pics of that plant...

yeah I know- when it was vegging I would release it b4 watering- then the day after I would tie her down again.. I would just cut holes in the bin and bring her all the way to it.... she was 3 1/2 feet wide

what's the point of releasing the ties?

HPS upgrade hasn't arrived yet. in small space, HPS penetration will work fine without cuting leaves. but don't remove leaves anyway. they do not USE food like you'd think. they are the energy source of the plants; turning light into energy. i'd want as many leaves as i could get, without blocking light to buds. so tuck them. use paper clips.

it's too bad that LST requires some stress on the plant. but, fuck her. i need her to play nice in my small grow space.

we all deal with stress. just don't past your limit, when you start sprouting balls.

Without any un-due stress, no chopping or hacking of any parts, these two pictured within this link were at about 2.5 weeks flowering. They came from clone.

What does the L in LST stand for please?

Low Stress Training.

Its about stressing the plant out to keep the plant shorted than it naturally wants to be.

Okay, I don't know what the L in LST stands for, but I've read how it causes a change in hormone distribution. This plant (and they've all been through hell on my 1st grow with MANY mistakes) is only 6.5" tall after 5.5 weeks, but went ahead and started wrapping her around. Tied her down with a plastic coated tie wire from a loaf of bread which I hooked to the PVC. It's black and underneath to the right of the pic from the side and attaches to the PVC, but don't know if it will show. Did it last night and she was a little droopy, but today I couldn't believe how many tops showed and started heading towards the lights. The larger leaf laying down on the right f the pic from the top was the original top. Don't know if what I did was official, but it's my newbie offering.
