They're still growing. I've grown others, but I think this one is growing better with the new light. Still, like, 28-30 days left.

Hello there testiclees,
This was a 1st time trial run with Cobs - although long time growing.
I had 5 bare cob light from 4 inches to 12 inches from the canopy lol
KB lenses on 4 cob light, about 8 inches to 14 inches.
No damage to plants that I could see.
GDP ended up 9.34 ozs Dryed
Well impressed with the cobs so far.
Updating my grow area at moment

Super lemon haze under 5 3590 LED's running 50 watts each in an ebb and flow growing system.

Vegged for 8 weeks and has been in flower for 5 weeks of 10, perhaps 11 weeks. They are going to take a fair amount of flower time.
I have an SLH almost done in the other room, the room with an HPS 400 watt as its main light source. Doesn't look anything like these.
This is...amazing. The growth, the size of these flowers.
I'm sold on leds...! How can I deny what I see.

If that's what you get with a 250w COB fixture, I'm going to have to make a COB.

Think I've figured how to reply!
The spacing of my 4 cob light With lenses
Mounted on half of an adjustawing reflector which is 22" x 16" (Approx! Lol)
One cob in each corner, 17" x 12" apart
I kept this light 8" to 14" above canopy with no issues I could see.
The 5 cob light i ran bare emitters
Mounted on mesh wire
One central cob and one cob in each corner
No problems running this light from 4" to 12" from plants.

Im using 3590s @56w but mixed in are v29s@ ~85w...ive had best results with 18-24" spacing in a highly reflective space. I mostly do not use the lenses.

Not using lenses either, but am using 100*reflectors. Keeping about a foot between the cobs and the plants. I can get closer with extra cooling, but then there are hot spots, where here is too much light.
A foot distance seems to be my sweet spot.

Ive got well over 50W per sq ft. In my room. it is too much unless the spacing is, as i described, ~20"

That was the 1st trial run with the cobs and I'm impressed .
I also use highly reflective portable walls at sides and front , 3 ft deep x 1 ft wide -
3 ft deep x 6 ft wide
Now rebuilding new grow area from scratch - after 15 years it needs new roof and new insulation
