How did you
The GDP has 3ish weeks left so I decided to get the UV up and running.
.Smoke, nice setup & plants! How does the GDP finish? Have you seen it turn purple at all? What's the nose like? Thanks for sharing~
Popped a few (bag)seeds in Dec, getting ready to flower soon, they're ready!

The GDP finished great. It took about 11-12 weeks. Rock hard nugs. Some purple started to show late flower, and came out a bit more after the cure.
( I think this pic was around week 8 )

This has been one of my everyday smoke for the last year or so. I've grown 12 seeds of it so far. All of them have done well.

Really strong sweet smell. Imagine if you could smell the color purple if that makes any sense. The taste reminds me of the grape Fun Dip candy we used to have back in the day.

It's got a real nice strong, relaxed stoned, but not as much couch lock like Gorilla Glue or something along those lines.

I'm down to 4 seeds left, so it's time for me to start looking for another 10+10 deal. Gonna go smoke some now too.

Best of luck on your plants. I'll keep an eye out to see how they turn out for you.

If you have any other questions let me know.

Sweet finish~ looks beautiful and sounds tasty. Funny you say smell of purple.. gf stem rubbed the gdp and said, "Mmm, smells like the color purple" then I read this post to her, we shared a laugh at the coincidence. So yes, totally makes sense!(pun?) Thanks for sharing! Blessings :peace:

Day 41 flower.
Even though I hacked the plants all to hell they're still doing pretty well.

They're high on nitrogen right now since there's not much plant left to use nutes, so I'm running some @rkymtnman ppm #'s atm with 100ppm Calimagic and 300ppm Jack's 321.
Now that I've figured out my issues we're calmag related in the past, I can really see myself staying under a 1.0ec on my runs from now on. A little Jack's goes a long way when things are working correctly, especially the 15-0-0.

They new crop has been started.
My seeds are a few years old so I had a couple of issues, but everything popped within a week of each other.
1-2 weeks old now. Zkittlez Glue, Chemdog Gorilla, Phantom Cookies Domina, and 2 Blueberry Glue. Should have 6 weeks vegging before they get flipped.

I decided to replenish the seed stock. Pretty stoked on the choices.

Both were on a buy one get one free sale so I scored 20 seeds for $90. Can't complain about that.
Looking forward to something new.

The vegging plants are coming along nicely.
IMG_20220311_134716.jpg

I finally got them inside my new 4x4 tent. It's some long named Chinese brand from Amazon. It has the same thickness poles as a Vivosun tent, but the material is the same 1680d as the AC Infinity Cloudlab. (I have a 2x2 I compared it to.)
IMG_20220311_134855.jpg
Unlike the Cloudlab though, this one had side doors which is freaking awesome.
IMG_20220311_134915.jpg
No pinholes and nice sturdy zippers. Well worth the $129.

I've got 2-3 more weeks before flip on these so I figure it's time to put up a net.
IMG_20220312_104324.jpg

The little one in front is a Sweet Zombie that I plan to move over into my 2x2 so I can chop it into 5 clones for my other room after it is harvested. Lights out atm.
IMG_20220312_104514.jpg
I'm shocked to see that even the plant with 0 uncut leaves on it is still producing some impressive buds...
IMG_20220312_104527.jpg

I ordered 4- 8" drip rings from growtek that I plan to mount on the underside of my lids to start giving a more dispersed watering over the pot surface area, so I'll be working on that next once they arrive.

Well it's a cluster fuck of yoyo's atm, but everything is humming along nicely. I finally got all the lights positioned how I wanted between the two rooms, so hopefully I'm done changing things around for a while.

Running 710w currently in here.
2 white widows in back and Zkittlez glue in the front.

So I got some 8" drip rings from www.growtek.com to incorporate under my bucket lids to get a more dispersed watering pattern so I can stop flood/draining them and go to a shorter/more often feeding schedule.
(thanks @bk78 for a heads up about the company)

I grabbed one of my junk lids and did a quick install via some hot glue and tested it out. I'm pretty happy with the results.
IMG_20220318_130836.jpg
The ring inlet is 3/8" but my feed lines are 1/4" so I used a John Guest reducer for the transition.

It took 5 minutes to feed 1 gallon with a 1100gph submersible pump through an 8 way Floraflex full flow bubbler. It showed a nice evenly distributed application. I can't wait to get these installed in a couple weeks after my current flower room is finished. Just might be a game changer and the final piece I needed to be finished and satisfied with my diy hempy automated system.

I've swapped to a 400w MH in the vegging tent for now. I've had to run the leds high to try and keep heat up which has resulted in some really short and bushy indicas atm. Hopefully this will help things to stretch out a little before I flip to flower in a couple of weeks.

I really do miss the nice blue light you get from an MH.

5 days later.
The canopy is almost filled and these girls are about ready to flip. The lower light levels really helped to fill things in.

The lower light levels have been a game changer. Everything is filling in and looking great. These are some of the healthier looking plants I've grown. I'm starting to think I've been using way too much light on the plants over the past 3 years which is one reason why most of my plants usually stay so short and bushy.
I'm going to have to reevaluate my whole process to this.

New 27gal reservoir for the veg tent too. Pretty happy with how it turned out.

It's getting cold again so time to stock the reserves back up. I must admit though, having a break was nice...

Anyway,
Nothing fancy this time around. Running 4x 3gal. straight perlite autofeed buckets in a 4'x4'. 6" Bluetooth Ac Infinity for exhaust, with 4x 220w led boards. Probably run around 660w total in flower.

Getting everything cleaned back up and popping 2 Gorilla Glue and 2 Granddaddy Purple seeds directly in the buckets today hopefully.
They've been stored in a fridge for about 2 years now so we'll see how it goes.
