Well hell.... I somehow missed a load of comments! Not that I ever get distracted or anything.... I can't seem to browse and post at the same time; that would entail multi-tasking and thinking.

Thanks for checking in, guys! :blsmoke: (And for watching my back, SICC. lol) My "Steath Multi Spectrum Bubbleponics" set arrived today, and my son is supposed to be assembling it tomorrow, so I may be having some questions about that setup soon.... for those who have experience with that one, of course. ;) Meanwhile, I've gotta see if the giving of "rep" is working for me again; it wasn't the other night.

i suggest the GH line.its so simple and very effetive to your grow!
Hell Yeah, that's what I'm runnin'! HAHA!
hey go to www,genhydro.com/calculator
to get a feed guide for the nutes,i promise if you follow the guidlines youll have a perfect grow,EVERYTIME!. i still have the canna line but im stuck on GH!
I am using the complete line. LOL.

Here is the link to the calculator.

http://www.genhydro.com/calculator/index.html

Enjoy!
Yeah, I've been interested in the GH line; I first saw Purp post about it and have seen a bit of a "rage" over it as of late. (Purp, so far I haven't gotten to reference of the GH line in your thread yet, so I don't know which ones you got or how you're using them RE: possible changes of doses, etc.) Went to the site last week and had no clue as to what to buy, etc. The URL you guys gave was helpful, but I'm still not sure.... I see Flora Series and FloraNova Series; I'm guessing one of those would be the one I'd want? (Considering how limited my mobility can get, I'd rather go with the FloraNova because the site says for "top results without much effort" and all that jazz. Unless I'm told that one is crap. LOL)

OK, so on to what's what to date:

Still haven't had any setbacks, aside from one that fortunately turned out to be very minor.... Between my back being jack-knifed more than my norm the last week and my spa simultaneously taking a dive (hence much less therapy/relief and much more immobility), I had a lot less strength a few days ago than I'd thought I did. It was time to raise the AG light hood again. I grasped the hood with one hand and pressed in a latch with the other, but my back was too jacked to lift just that. So the hood shot down to the lowest notch, smashing my plants beneath it! Just this little jerk in movement threw my back out more, and I couldn't lift the damn hood off of my plants! Thankfully my son was home and standing just a few feet away from me, so he rushed over and got everything into place immediately. Just the very few seconds that the lights were sitting on top of my plants was enough to burn them in a couple of spots. BUT, it turned out to be only a few spots in a few leaves, and no further damage than that! (You can see where it burned in the photo taken yesterday from the "top" view.) I'm happy and relieved to say that my plants have been very forgiving, and they're still flourishing in spite of those little burn marks.

I decided today that I'm not going to transplant the current plants to the Stealth system, after all. This has nothing to do with worries about stressing the plants, and everything to do with needing to first rig some net pots to fit the AG pods that are holding the roots. If I weren't having such a shitty relapse right now, it wouldn't be difficult to rig it. But if I don't listen to my body the relapse ends up a lot worse, so I gotta do what it says even though I don't want to.... which is to instead take cuttings from the plants and put those in the Stealth system, let them veg a couple/few weeks, and go from there. I don't want to set back the clock on this and I don't want to chop 'n' toss the three plants I was going to transfer from the AG to the Stealth, but I've got space (and lack thereof) to consider as well as physical limits. The AG will be great for keeping two mothers, but there's no way it'll support five plants; the roots are already filling up the reservoir more than I like.

ANYHOOO, that's more than enough rambling for one night, eh? I posted photos from March 31 and from April 8. You can see the burns from the light hood falling a few days ago in the "top" shot. And now I'll sign off before I start writing a book. (I tend to get even more wordy when I'm on pain pills. lol)

Lookin great kat, cant wait to see the new system, should get some good results. Good thing you son was around, i would have hated to hear you say that they fell on the plants and you just had to sit there and watch em burn. Everything seems to be going accoring to plan, keep it up!

OK, so I know that I type long updates/replies.... I also don't post very often (to my thread or others) because it hurts my neck, shoulders, back, and hands to type. It's easier on me to type out one long post than it is to do several shorter ones. (This is all aside from me being a little bit wordy. LOL) So please bear with me.... and if not, fine then, don't! :finger: :bigjoint:

Oh yeah, they've been just fine since the drop incident, aside from the little burn marks on a few of the highest leaves/tops (which are now gone; had to top a couple spots to bring down height, and that got rid of the burned leaves).

So you're a walking pharmacy too, eh? I rarely take pain pills, especially opiates, because they make me sick. If they don't give me severe upper GI attacks (true opiates), then they make me manic, extremely nauseated, and too often vomiting follows (synthetic opiates).... so when I do take them, I have to use the MJ on top of it anyway, to help the side effects. The pills don't work as well anyway (well aside from Dilaudid, but I've only had that so far while inpatient; they don't often prescribe that one to take home), and I love that I can "dose" the MJ; take in just enough to most likely help, wait about ten or so minutes, and if it wasn't enough then take in more. Can't do that nearly as effectively with pills. :)

When I'd first read that your setup was taken (on someone else's thread, not yours; I haven't gotten that far in yours yet), it sounded like it you had an incident with some cops or something. I didn't know it was stolen from you till a couple days ago. That fucking sucks! I'd love to be a fly on the wall when you find whoever did it!

close call.... lookin good though!
Very close call! I'm just relieved that "close" is as far as it got! :)

UPDATE

So, I very reluctantly removed and trashed the three plants in the front on the 10th. My neighbor asked me to give them to him, and my immediate response was, "Absolutely not! I'm not risking jail for anyone!" He said he wouldn't talk, but anyone can slip. I'd rather trash them than take that kind of risk! I also topped the remaining two again, solely because of height.... I also took two clippings from those two, which are now in the front, because the roots of the two "mother" plants are vast and even with the other three gone, the roots are taking up so much of the reservoir. So, once the clones take, I can then take the two in the back and just put them straight to flower in the BP if I am up to doing so. (Because I cloned them, I wasn't worried about topping them again and "overdoing" it; I was more worried about size issues in the AG. MAN, having the BP will make such a difference RE: plant size issues.... using the light stand instead of hanging them from the ceiling, I'll still be able to have about 5' plants without a problem. YAY!)

I'll be able to order my grow tent on the 1st, and it'll get here just in time to put the clones in the BP to flower. M is still rearranging the "dining" room (which we've been using for storage & my exercise equipment). His next step is to take the book shelf that I was going to throw out (it's gotten worn and ugly), paint it white, and then put it into my new "grow room" to hold the AG; and there'll be a couple of shelves above the AG to keep all my growing supplies organized. That'll go on the wall opposite from the grow tent, and my exercise equipment will still fit perfectly where it's lived for the last two years. The "dining" room can be fully enclosed; there are several doors in the garage that had been in different rooms in the house, so after the setting up the book shelf M is going to reinstall the two doors to that room, and then it'll be completely closed off from the rest of the house.... no light leaks when it's flowering time!

I'd laughed and told M that I could be really cliche and plant the BP on 4/20, and I was truly joking. But he's 19, so of course he said that I should indeed do that. Well, if the light stand doesn't hurry up and get here, it may very well be 4/20 before I can move on! :p

This camera isn't very good for close-up shots; as it is, they're taken from about 3 ft. away, but still it's too close. As you'll notice when comparing this to the next one. Oh well, can't expect too much for a $25 digital camera, eh? (I'd sent my good digital cam with T to Iraq, and bought this one when I first started growing. Hence the cheapie.)

After trashing the three plants in the front, topping (for height constraint) the remaining two, and one clone from each of those in the front. (It appears that there's very little light reaching the little ones because of the lights being raised as well as a bit of a shadow cast by me while taking the photos. They get plenty of light, and are going strong so far.)

My temporary setup: sans lights & stand (for the Stealth BP), bookshelf, and grow tent. (By next month all should be set up and remain as such till we buy a house next fall/winter and move outta this dump!)

Well, according to the new plan, anyhow. The light stand is taking forever to get here! I've got the BP set up except for the lights, just waiting for the stand so that I can finally get this road back on the show!

Yeah, I learned from that incident that if I'm even a tad more jacked than my "daily norm" then I am not going to do things that pertain to lifting or anything that might end in a nasty accident! That's what my son (M), and hubby (T) when he gets home, are for. ;) From here on out, I'll just stick to feeding and taking photos when I'm home alone and/or more sore than usual. I just don't feel like dropping my lights more than once, and killing a bunch of beautiful plants.... not that anyone's done that before! ;)

Thanks Purp! There was a bit of a setback, which will be below.

Once T and I are *legally* married (long gov't red tape story RE: disability!), I'll have much better health care than I do now (MedicAid, BLAH!), and I'll finally be referred to a pain management doc/center. Then I should be able to get Dilaudid, which is the only opiate (true OR synthetic) that doesn't make me sick.... and it's also the only drug that has ever taken away 100% of my pain! My GP has no problem with prescribing me Dilaudid or anything like it, because I tend to take six months to a year before I need another script filled for 30 days' worth. So he knows I don't abuse it in the least. (Told you I rarely take pain pills! I've come to accept possibly being dependent on drugs in the future, but that's completely different from addiction which I do NOT want! And I have OCD which contributes to a very addictive personality!) However, MedicAid hates him because he actually cares about treating his patients in every way possible, meaning he fights them tooth and nail for authorizations, so now if he prescribes any narcotics they'll come down on him. GGGGRRRRR!!! But even with that problem, he's the best doc I've ever had.... I've been seeing him since I was 19 for managing bipolar as well as chronic pain/illness; I've tried other docs and went back to him immediately. Docs that care, and listen to their patients, are so hard to find nowadays!

Funny, I've never heard of methadone being used for pain control until last week, when another guy on this site mentioned his S.O. using it to help control her pain from MS (one of the biggest suspects as to what's causing all of this for me, as well).... and now you. My best friend is a "recovering" herion addict, and he's still on methadone to keep away the cravings.... he's hoping to get off of that one day too, but first he's gotta come up with the moolah to get into a GOOD "rehab" (according to him, a few of those actually do exist!) cause otherwise he'll end up in dangerous withdrawal and all that jazz.

Well hell.... blah blah blah! LOL

kat love the setup iam going to make one of those! your plants are lookin good cant wait to start seeing some buds!!!!!!!!
With the setback due to time constraint (waiting for the BP and now for the grow tent to arrive, so that I can put plants to flower that will actually yield enough without me having to still buy bud to supplement my harvests), I'll be basically starting over on Monday.... for now I'll clone from the best "tops" of my two remaining larger plants, but I may start a couple from seeds as well.

From what I've read in DWT/Bubbleponics threads on this site, it'd cost just as much (if not more, w/how expensive light setups are) to make make a BP-type of setup, plus all the shopping around needed for each individual part as there'd be several stores one would likely have to shop in order to get everything. I upgraded the lights and a few other things, and still the entire BP setup cost me $400 including tax and shipping. I'm not saying don't bother building one yourself, but on the same token you might wanna check into the money and work it'd take to build one compared to just buying the whole system setup from Stealth. :)

Yeah, especially the clone at the front left. I don't know if she's gonna make it, but she's not dead yet so I'm taking special care of her and waiting to see if she continues to grow. I noticed the drooping the day I last updated as well, and started watching for further symptoms. Night before last, several of the lower leaves on all my plants were crispy and browning, and the front-left clone was in really bad shape. I followed Roseman's "8 Step Recuperation and Recovery Remedy" and yesterday morning the larger two plants were already perking up a LOT. The really droopy one's crispy brown leaves won't recover, they got too far gone too quickly; I'll have to trim off the crispy parts of the leaves. However, the top of even that one is getting perky again, so maybe she'll make it after all. If not it won't be a huge deal, I can always take another cutting from her mommy, and the clones haven't even been in long enough to sprout roots yet so it wouldn't be a huge loss. The night I did Roseman's 8 steps, the pH had jumped from 5.9 to 7.5!!! That's the first time my pH has been even marginally out of whack. But so far, it's remaining between 5.8 & 6.1, so hopefully all's well again. The larger two plants have also perked up more again: they were a little dry although not horribly so, but this morning I saw their leaves "sweating" (ya know, the morning dew thing) a bit again like they've been doing since the beginning, and they're once again feeling soft and cool to the touch.

I'm not worried about lights for the AG right now really, because it's only going to be in use for one or two mothers after Monday. My BP system arrived over a week ago. I had to pull teeth for almost that entire week to get my son to put it together (he doesn't live here anymore due to that and all the other things he's NOT been doing that he agreed to do in exchange for room & board, so he made other living/working arrangements which will be a good situation for him to finally start learning to take care of himself); he just got it put together the night I took the last photos I posted here, but it's all set up and ready to go aside from hanging the lights. I'm just waiting for my grow tent to arrive, then the lights can be hung and I can start using my BP instead of just looking at it! However, I do plan on getting a couple more lights for my AG as soon as finances allow.... T and I have already spent SO much more than we'd planned for this, and I don't want to ask him to take even one more penny out of savings for me. I haven't asked for any money, he's offered all of it; but that's not the point. He'd do it, but we've gotta have money set aside for when he comes home in August to make sure bills can be paid till everything's back to "normal" as he's coming home to a huge pay cut at his civilian job.... fucking recession!

Speaking of waiting on the grow tent to arrive, kinda funny story; not hilarious but still.... I'd said to my son last week that I could be really cliche and wait to plant anything into the BP until 4/20, and of course he jumped on it and said I should do exactly that. I told him I was just joking, and that it IS pretty cliche. Well, FedEx's tracking site says that my grow tent will be arriving here on.... 4/20! So it looks like the "birthdate" of my BP plants will indeed be 4/20 after all, albeit with no prior intention of doing it that way. LOL

I've also (potentially) got some "potluck" seeds on the way from someone kind enough to offer them to me; they're originally a mix of from a breeder who gave them to the person that offered me some of them. So of course I'll have no idea what strain each seed will produce, but I find a little fun with this idea: each plant will be a surprise! Plus, unless this breeder produces only feminized seeds, I'll get to play around with cross breeding plants that have traits I like when males make their appearances. :D When the time comes to cross that bridge, I should be ready to experiment with that.... I ordered Jorge's latest Grow Bible which should help me wonders, so between that and this forum I've got plenty of reading to do RE: seed production, breeding, etc. Of course I've first gotta get at least my first harvest finished, which will give me ample time to read up on more advanced stuff for the future.

:!: :?: OH, almost forgot! OK, the store next door to my house sells CFLs now, for $1.50 each. They're just 20W & 1200 lumens. I know that's not much, but would a couple of these aimed at the sides of my AG make any difference at all, or would they just be a waste? :?: :!:

I took photos an hour or so ago, but it's been one of those neverending days and I'm running on fumes: stick a fork in me, I am done! I'll crop/resize/post them tomorrow.

Until then.... may the forces of evil become confused on their way to your house!

Alrighty then, I just know you all have been breathlessly awaiting the grace of my appearance, so here I am! :p

Last update, my clones were drooping. I turned up the fan to medium and raised the lights, and that did the trick. Now they're perky and developing their fifth nodes; once they get their sixth, I'm gonna top 'em.

Meanwhile, on the 22nd I finally was able to take four cuttings from the current mothers (the AG clones will be my "new" mothers) and get them into my BP! (I got tired of waiting for someone to help me get the BP's light reflector hung, so I rigged it up with shoe laces for now. LOL! On the 1st I'm gonna get a couple of chain dog leads and use those instead; that way I can use the clips to adjust the height of the lights.)

The mothers got chopped a lot actually, because a friend of mine who also has a MM card got inspired by me, so I gave him cuttings to get a quick start. I don't worry about giving seeds/plants to someone with a MM card, cause I'm not doing anything that'll get me into trouble. ;) Now that the clones in the AG are thriving, I'm thinking about putting the two current mothers in my back yard once the weather decides to stop getting cold.... I really don't like having more than two mature plants in the AG because of root mass vs. reservoir capacity, so it's either toss 'em or plant 'em outdoors. If they don't turn out, no big loss. It was just bagseed, nothing spent on them.

My GH FloraNova nutes arrived day before yesterday, and so yesterday I cleaned out the AG reservoir and used the GH. Normally I dread cleaning out the reservoir, because I end up hurting like hell by the time I'm done with everything.... well, using the liquid nutes made a huge difference for me, because I didn't have to spend hours (lol) getting the AG nute tabs to dissolve! That alone subtracted a lot of time and energy from the whole ordeal.

I've gotten the AG cleaning down to a science RE: ease now.... spray the kitchen sink with a light bleach solution to make sure it's completely sanitized, rinse the sink, put the AG base in there and fill the sink with water to clean the roots of anything that might be hiding, drain the sink, repeat, put the GH into the reservoir filled with water, stir with a spoon for a couple seconds to make sure it's mixed, then put it all back together. Took me about five minutes to get it all done yesterday, and although my hips were pissed off (nothing new, lol) my back wasn't screaming at me this time! :D

With the good ol' saying that a picture says a thousand words, I'll just let the photos do most of the talking this time.

Still droopy, but health improved. Trimmed the brown/crispy portions of the bottom leaves, so there's very little brown/yellow now, and absolutely none on any of the higher leaves. Like my little "RX" jar? The little part crossing the "R" to make the "X" is a joint. Got it about a year ago at a local smoke shop, just cause I thought it was cute. It holds an ounce or more, and seals out all air. I love it!

One day later, the babies suddenly showed little roots!

Again one day later, already noticably less drooping!

Next day, roots showing so much more already!

And more root development, again one day later!

More green, less droop.... also been using a little container designed for sweetner packets to bring up humidity a bit with some water under the lights.

Finally got the BP put to use! Cuttings looking a little droopy, but of course they'll perk up once they take root. :)

Got a couple of shots this morning before my camera's batteries died on me. Morning is NOT a good time for me to take photos I now see: with all blinds closed it still is just too bright and washes out most color. Oh well, eh? (No new activity from the BP yet, so just shots of the AG....)

My dining-room-turned-grow-room.... It didn't look like the fan's cord would reach to the right side of the BP, which is why it's set up this way. Now I see that it will, so when I get the chains and re-hang the light hood, I'm gonna switch the BP and fan around; this way the AG and BP will be right next to each other, so I'll have easy access to both units from one chair when I do my maintenance stuff. This shot was taken from my living room. You can see the handle of one of my exercise doohickies; couldn't be avoided because this is a SMALL house!

This one was taken from the kitchen. All I've got in this room now is my exercise equipment, vacuum cleaner & floor scrubber (nowhere else to store 'em), and my indoor garden.

AND last but not least: a shamless plug of my band, Funk-n-Stuff. This was at T's combo Bday / Going Away party which we dubbed the "Last Bash Before Baghdad" although he's actually in Northern Iraq, but it had a "ring" to it. (His deployment began a week after his bday.) This wasn't a "pro" gig; we were just playing at the party for shits 'n' giggles. Basically an "open mic" thing, as our closest friends are also musicians, all of whom we've worked with at some point or another; i.e., the drummer in this vid is actually T's other band's drummer. OH, and T is the bassist as well as a phenomenal vocalist.... and he's sitting while playing this song because he was too drunk to stand and play. LOL! Our friendship began 14 yrs. ago based on being musical colleagues; the rest is history. :D I've been "semi" retired for the last couple of years, only performing about three or four times a year. However, now that the spa guy has found what's wrong with my spa and is tracking down the part and T just ordered a new bed for me that is designed for people with chronic pain, we're feeling confident that I should finally be able to come out of retirement probably by this fall. WOO HOO!!! I miss getting paid for my passion.... I used to support myself solely from singing, and it'll be sooo nice to contribute to the household income again, much less get out of the damn house and sing till I drop!
