So it begins

the pot shops busted in Grants Pass. We'll see who is next? Montana repealing their MMJ law, things don't look so rosy on the horizon. Apparently the gray area of meds between cardholders or the definition of reimbursement the clubs were/are using doesn't jive with the authorities. Many bills in legislation right now, limiting possession amounts, raising the age limit, etc. The dispensary vote demise has led legislators to begin to dismantle the OMMP to be more in line with newer states mmj legislation, i.e. less possession amounts, less numbers, etc. Peeps better get to their legislators and complain or let them know how any changes in law is detrimental to your health and well being, with email, calls or letters, or this is gonna change in legislature without even a vote. Time to get with the movement, either you are in or out.IMHO

i live in gp. witch one was busted. i knew one of them was going to cuz it is still illegla here to do what they were doing. i hope it isnt the one i used to go to.
it sucks they got busted. but if it is the one im thinking about then they probably wre doing something wrong. theri was always like20-30 strret kids hanging out smoking pot and what not

well it was the one i used to go to. glad i was not theri when it went down, i really think they had it coming though. they also busted buds for ever on 7th street and then get your hemp on and also one in medford all in the same day

ya they got glass for less compassion center, get your hemp on and buds for less in grants pass and then 1 more in medford. the drug ageny is called RADE rogue area drug enforcement and they are scandouless dicks they are the same guys who busted me on a small scale a year and a half ago. and they also had the medford drug team help i dont know what they call them selfs though.

also from what i have been reading and watching the detectives had a CI go in a buy weed from them illegally. the complaints are nothing near enough to get a warrant with so they had to have a CI.
i think it is bull shit they bust places like that cuz it makes people have to go get it off the street, witch sucks for most people. i also feel that a few of the places that got busted were worked outside of state and federal laws and kinda did it to them selfs, they knew what they were doing and that it was wrong

I can just see the local doctors, pharmacies, blah blah...complaining that people can find relief, and not using their profession to do it. Oh, I loved going to my doc and having him tell me the med (Reglan) was just too dangerous and we couldn't afford the permanent side effects. Does ganja help nausea? Of course it does...many many people find relief during chemo...gastroparesis, etc.

I'm retired...I don't have to worry about any piss test. Kids are grown and gone, and they know I have a card. Well...within the next year I will start my OWN grow, right here in camp Luther. I'm hoping to have a small one, where I can keep my max legal amount right here in my own basement. I'm not claiming it will be great stuff either. It won't be a grand situation like topshelf.

I've begun my research. I've read some journals, newbie central, indoor, hydro, grow fucking tents. I've got an interesting area in my large laundry room. I could vent to the chimney, or direct to the outside. I've got a circuit breaker box in the room. A 5x5 tent should be able to grow some meds to medicate me. Hell, it will give me something to do .

I have some family that lives in the Medford area. GP...hahaha...you'd have to be high to live in Whiteyville all the time. McPurp, I haven't read enough around here yet, so I don't remember if you grow or not. But if you don't...you might as well.

Oh, and I'm sure Mrs. Luth will grill me about the tent. I think the carbon filters, and if you vent it properly that she might not even know it is there, yes? Dry in the tent too. I even had a "French drain" put in the basement to keep it nice and dry. I could (if needed) just tap into the drain and have it pumped out, but I'm not sure if I'd really need it or not. I doubt I'd do hydro for such a small grow.

i did grow legally untill i was busted for some stupid shit, so know i cant grow till i am off probation. and i grew more then enough for my self in a small closet with 2 plants. if your legal then why try to eradicate the smell?

Why vent because I'm legal? The BOSS is the Mrs. If she wants no smell, she gets no smell.

I kind of let her do her thing and in return she allows me some range. I'd vent just to make her happy, ...like growing ganj and she could have a few of her straight friends over without them popping a vein.

Small, tight, contained, crisp, easy, silent, stealthy.

I only need about an oz a month. I go through less than a pound a year. This thing doesn't have to be a chore. I've got other options too, I guess. Even smaller options...closet sized might work too. I've got a bedroom in the basement that isn't used...large closet, large room.

I just renewed for another year last week. My buddy is going to begin to grow for me legally. His area might be in question. I've seen his basement grow site (a cleaned out pantry for canned goods). Area is about 7' wide, maybe 3' deep, and 6' high. He grew 1 plant about 20 years ago...budded up nice and paranoia set in and he quit after that grow. bwah. Now he's back like a bad Arnold movie. If his produces enough for the both of us, then I might not have to do squat. He hints that within' two weeks he'll be farmin'.

I guess next is I break down all the costs. How much to buy the tent, light, nutes, vent, blah blah.....versus...just getting a pound from a farmer and the deal he/she could offer. This isn't a money maker. This will be my shit, and any left over shit goes to a few buddies, and some to the ganja GODS.

When they raided the GP co op ganj places, did any of the customers get arrested? Or was the target the owner/operators?

I'd suspect if Joe Average was there, acquired a quarter of smoke, had a card...then he'd be mostly free and clear.

it was just mainly the owners and the people running it i believe only 6 people were arrested. the legal patients who donated for some of theri meds i think are in the clear cuz they are legal and were not doing any thing wrong.
if they went after one card holder customer they would have to go after them all and around here tha is alot of people to track down for some petty shit

I think that Medford/Jacksonville area is probably a prime area for outdoor farming. I don't know squat, but all kinds of produce is grown with pretty amazing quality down in them parts. When I went to SOC a few buddies and I would roll out to the river. Ruch, Or. They used to have this small little place that had big frozen/frosty goblets of beer...ice floating in the beer COLD. We smoked a bowl before we went in (in the 70's then) and I was in heaven. I just don't trust growing $moke outdoors. I mean seriously...how far do you actually lead using a shotgun?

i dont know what place it was in medford but they did say one was busted, and ya i watched the news about the complaints, and i dont know why GP had 3 mabye just alot of patients needing meds im not sure. i knew the day they opened though they were being looked into and were gonna get shut down sooner or later.

Im not sure. they always checked me for paper work i would assume since the CI supposedly gave them enough info for a warrant then he most likely did not have a card and the owner still gave him some or something. im not 100 percent clear on that. this is just what i have been reading and hearing through out the last few days

yea, that must have been the place, Medford only had one ,and he was across the way in a strip mall from a church, you know, how they'll use like 3 units of a strip mall once or twice a week. He was also next to a Purple Parrot.lol, Im sure their business will drop back offHe had Paul Looney's card all over and everytime asked if he was worried, he'd say patient to patient, accountants and lawyers say ok, so ok. hi i'm will formerly of get your hemp on in grants pass. the ci had a card if you were wondering,and never recieved more than a few grams of medicine. there were no filed complaints about the shop myself and cameron gave time at, and the dea asked me if i'd ever heard of the patriot act when asked how he could do this. i can't speak for anyone but cam and myself but we were broke hippies when it opened, and broke hippies when we went to jail. i was 26 plants under my legal limit, 3 pounds under medicines legal limit and cam and i quit 3 weeks before it all came down the pipe, consequently an hour before the ci came in for the aleged "incriminating" buy. we will more than likely be convicted without providing medicine to anyone on a grey area of the law.

iuf you mean cam as in cameron vernoy, then i can tell you he is no hippie at all and indeed was in it for only one thing and that is cash.
also from the reports that i have seen he was caught in the act in a car delivering it in side of a school zone, thats all i know.
its a shity deal for every one but hey they should have realized it was all illegal

i wonder: if some fed busts you or your grower, will you just say "should have realized it was illegal!"

because it is all still illegal. if everyone gets busted, will you just say "what we were doing was illegal. i'm glad we got busted"

they would never bust me or my grower because we are following all the state laws and as long as you follow some simple rules they wont bother you. it wasnt feds that busted this place it was local raid teams. in our state it is legal, fed law i know over rules it BUT if you follow the rules your fine.
these people werent following the simple laws that are in place and got busted. like i said they should have relized they were doing illegal things. what the fuck is the point of having a card if you just gonna break the laws still?
