soiless question....good one for you hydro ninjas

So im doing my first soiless and supernatural nutes....and quite frankly doing a terrible job....so I transplanted from 4 gallon pots (by the way 50 50 readgro and perlite) to 15 and a week later threw them into a flower room with a 75 percent more lights than they had....had no problem until one and half weeks in then burnt tips, leaf tips curling down then yellowing then leaf death...I put like 30 gallons through each one and they seem to be doing ok...but why one and half weeks did they do that? Could the environment and lights play a role? Would that make my ph and ec go nuts and cause this lockout? I loved how fast and awesome soiless can be but I might have to go back to soil if I can't get this...I was real gradual with nutes and proper ph was all there......confused
