Some people say don’t flush at all some say do?

Wait, one guy says his experience tells him to flush. Another says his experience tells him not to flush. What to do?!?

SCIENCE!
Did the other person swear by not flushing for a few years and then completely change their mind after doing the opposite? I don't want to go back and reread it all.

I'll answer my own question. I've had club hash....def doesn't taste as good as hg organic. But not too harsh...

It's really simply a product of large grow opps using miracle grow type ferts. That shit is straight up nasty unflushed.... difficult to even smoke imo.
I'd guess that the average grower produces enough kitchen scraps and shit to feed a crop. Worms eat shit....
Any growers on a commercial level running miracle grow style nutrients would never pass testing period. The harsh taste and difficult to smoke stuff comes from piss poor drying methods.

Meh. Check this out:

I'm brand new at growing weed. I haven't done a side-by-side or taste test or nuthin. Don't know anyone who has. This idea of "flushing" is new to me (as an amateur horticulturist).

So I come at it with an open mind, more or less. I research websites online, read posts, check out the videos, and study a couple abstracts.

I come away with the conclusion that it doesn't much matter. You can flush and save on nutes, it won't make a huge difference. You can feed up to the end in hopes the plant is healthier overall and you can get a better yield.

In the studies I have read, people tend to prefer weed grown organically (in particular, the one posted in this thread).

My approach will be to just feed her. It makes sense to me. It's what happens in nature. Besides, I grow in soil. bongsmilie

The vast majority of people who have grown long term and who participate in this forum will simply ignore this thread because there is one like it every other day. The problem with that is, then it seems like a lot of people are actually in favor of "flushing", because they are the only ones actually active in the thread. Whether a grower uses organic or mineral salt based nutes matters very little to the final taste and smokeability of the bud if the bud was grown well, not overfertilized, and allowed to fully mature-the rest ALL COMES DOWN to post harvest processing, ie, drying and curing. It is impossible to distinguish whether organic nutrients or mineral salts were used to grow properly grown bud that was dried and cured well. I've used both organics and mineral salts in various situations indoors and out for almost 30 years and I'm certain many other growers would agree.

I don't understand.... aren't synthetic nutes readily available? Why would you need bacteria to break down what's already broke down?
Synthetic nutes are nutrients already broken down into chemical salts. Organics utilize biological processes to break down organic matter into chemical salts. Idk what dude is talking about with his bacteria making chemical salts "organic" talk.
