Someone growing on my land??

Personally I would go about setting up a few large snares and catch the little bastards upside down. Use some 3/16" cable so it can't be cut with a pocket knife.

Tie a ribbon or something around his plants. It will let him know that his patch has been discovered and if he doesnt want it stolen/to get busted/or it to get destroyed then he'll move it.
I love this idea. Minimal, effective ... brilliant. And Rottedroots doesn't need to "be the one" who tied the ribbon ... it's an all-'round good idea imo. cn

I was in that thread and laney was very nice to you. YOUR the one that was being rude (you even said so yourself)...it seemed like you wanted someone to tell you it was ok for you to chop them down. We told you to leave you a note...you didn't want to do that...you said you wanted them moved NOW ASAP!....but you didn't think you should have to do it yourself. Everything someone came up with you shot down.

If someone was growing on my land...I wouldn't need to ask other people what I should do...its my land I will do whatever I wish. If I wanted to mess with them or do something funny then I would ask others for ideas. I will say it again...your adult ...make an adult decision.
Bullshit I read that thread and that laney told her to get the cops involved. Villa got pissed at that. Then you all started bashing on Villa.

Ok, I'm being serious, take a shit in the middle of the patch. Someone earlier this year made a thread about that happening to them. They will know someone found their plants and wonder why they shit there.

Dude - team up with this cat. Don't be a phony. If you seek out the right strains you can grow non odor short bushy plant. Your plant looks ok. Don't expect each plant to be PERFECT visually. Leave the grower a note. Or grow one plant right next to his and then leave a note. Maybe a nice joint as a sign of peace and its cool to chat. Maybe set up a small spy cam - make sure the grower(s) not some gang banger etc otherwise - I'm sure some type of deal could be worked out. If you make it a big deal it'll be a big deal. If you don't make it a big deal it won't be a big deal. I did discount your paranoid state about your gun and potential loss. Doesn't suck you have to feel like that over a plant? Its been known to happen - you can make this all happen without ever meeting him. Think it through. If you are too stressed you can think straight. If anything - you have a really interesting situation. Please let us know how it turns out. Good luck my friend.
I make sure I don't grow on my own property because of all the potential trouble it can cause. I guess it's not really fair but I guess I put other land owners at risk and grow on their property instead..

That being said I came across a very rookie patch of weed someone else is growing on MY land. It is clearly a newbie grow just from the set-up. No prep work and the soil sucks and these little plants are never going to amount to anything.

So what do I do? I don't want or have any interest in the plants but I don't want them attributed to me. I could lose my gun license and there is the remote possibility I could lose more than that! Do I leave a note suggesting they move them or do I just pull and leave them on the ground. I would actually love to help the guy/gal out and give their plants some nutes and H2O but not at my expense. Is there a simple yet decent way to resolve???

The ribbon, unlike the dump, is weatherproof. cn

The ribbon is the best idea and more adult. But I'm a 30 year old teenager and I think taking a shit is funny.

I agree with some of the others. Just leave them a note... give it 2 weeks and if there not moved... rip em.

Leave a ribbon noticeably tied around one plant, so that they know someone besides them knows about the plant, it will either make them shit themselves, or be REALLY careful.
If they leave them there, just keep leaving subtle hints until they yank 'em.
The second time, maybe a ball point pen, as though someone was there taking notes:twisted::twisted::twisted:

Taking a shit would be funny if you could see the look on the face when they stepped in it, like the flaming dogshit trick, but you don't really want to be there for them to hear you laughing..........

A rake laying in the middle of the trail face up, hidden under some leaves or hidden somehow would also work.

I gotta disagree, the rake idea is hilarious. Relatively harmless compared to BEAR traps! And I could argue its a not a booby trap, but just lazy gardening.
I worry that a hotshot attorney could turn a rake-induced injury into a major headache for the landowner. cn

Depending on your state, property size, grow size and terrain would affect whether or not I'd pull it or not. Honestly a dozen I would pull period and make it look like an animal did it. But if I didn't live in oklahoma, utah, nevada or another state that just has it out for cannabis and it's user's I would be more likely to be lenient. Furthermore if I had a large property I am more comfortable with plausible deniability. Which is the legal version of I didn't know and most folk's wouldn't either! But it is tricky and subject to personal opinion in some cases... Plausible deniability can protect one if let says a property owner who in turn rents a property that is used for cannabis production. As long as certain responsible steps are taken as property owner that are typically required by law anyway, the property owner maintains deniability if the producer has legal issues. Well unless he has a sign that says "medical marijuana here - donations requested" or obvious sign's of drug use sales and or production then property owner no longer can say I didn't know and loses deniability... but hold on kinda stoned back to the point and in reflection upon the Virginia case in point with the I believe 63 acres and 2 plants. I gotta wonder how in the world it was brought to court even. It is like giving the government a production of schedule 1 controlled substance charge for every plant some guy put's in our national forests!! A good lawyer should have had it thrown out during the first hearing if there were no boot prints to connect the property owner. But my main point if you stay away from the plot and you have enough land and the spot is someplace where one could reasonably deny visiting then I wouldn't worry about it and let nature take it's course. Oh and put up a few no trespassing sign's this november soon after first frost. Then next year pull the mofo's for ignoring the sign's if they plant again. But always try to make it look chewed up or otherwise naturally thrashed, young impatient punks do stupid shit in the heat of the moment when they suspect rippers.

All my 02. cents on what I'd do do what ya will because I am no lawyer and plausible deniability is tricky to work with and as I said subject to interpretation.
