SSH, Nor Cal gooey

SSH came from seeds here now( took a leap of faith cuz not familiar with their clone supplier) Nor Cal Gooey from Skunk Va via breeders direct, no leap of faith here have 100% confidence in anything that comes from him. They look little rough cuz under LED but soon they’ll be under the trusty HPS. We see how it goes

NorCal Gooey is one I’m excited to see. I hear it’s a pretty special cut, and he talked about it on the potcast episode.

From the cups to these for now, gonna up lot to 7 gal this run and try to keep the inputs minimum just ti see what she’s like baseline. Excited myself

This plant is different than anything I’ve ever ran before, really does wanna grow out as much as up, distinct morphology and smell, very very different. Super hyped to flower these

So GooeyBreeder was kind enough to respond to me on instagram and looks like this is likely the Pure Gooey and not Mom Gooey to avoid confusion, going into bloom

YOU LUCKY BASTARDS, wish the uptight leaders would stop the war on weed and make it legal, it takes up so much of the law and courts time, its rediculas. then i could buy a sweet cut and grow her out.

Better hurry. The farm bill might not always be around, at least make sure you got some beans on stash

I’m curious which Pure Gooey version that you got. Mom Gooey is clone only, but Pure Gooey is his attempt to put the mom into seed form, by cubing it with Skunk #1. He released a couple different versions of Pure Gooey, like the 84% and 106%. I grew a mom hybrid with cindy99 and midnight snow, and they definitely liked to grow more wide than tall. I’d like to do a seed increase on this half pack one day.

Me toooo, haha, it was labeled as Nor Cal Gooey, the description seems like it’s referring to Mom, doesn’t mention the BX, got it from Skunk VA via Breeders Direct. Maybe when in full bloom it will be more apparent, plan on sending more pics to the breeder to sort it out. Edit, it was from clone forgot to add

Maybe ask Gooey breeder if he has ever given clones to Skunk VA. I've been trying to buy Pure Gooey seeds from Gooey breeder for years. Every time I go to buy a pack he is out, dang it. I smoked quite a bit of The Goo, which is half Gooey Mom I believe, when it was floating around Nor Call in the early 2000's. Good stuff.

If you’re willing to do a reproduction and share back with the community, I’ll send you these. There are 6 left, and I prob won’t get to them within the next 2 years. They need to be done though before they're no longer good. I’ve had them in the fridge since my buddy gave them to me in 2020 and passed away the next year. I’m not sure what year he got them, and this is how I got them. Just send me a small pile back to play with.

Oh man that's very generous, thank you! But I might not be the right person for the job.
I only grow outdoors so I wouldn't be able to to start them until next spring. I would gladly take them but since I only grow one crop per year I generally do small pollinations(10-15 seeds) on a single branch or two.
If you are truly not going to be able to get to them I would gladly take them and do a seed expansion and give them back to the community but I wouldn't be able to get to them this year.

It’s on my to do list, but I’ve been growing more for medical necessity than exploration. I’d like to get to it, and had someone else who wanted to preserve them on another forum but they disappeared. I’m hoping to get to it within the next couple projects. If your situation changes and you can do a full pollination, let’s do it. If not, let’s hold off for a bit. I haven’t seen these anywhere, and want to get them out to people. It’s supposed to be some special smoke.
