StarTrek @ 8 Weeks Flowering

Just took some pic updates of the girls @ 8 weeks flower in my 100% LEGAL/MEDICAL outdoor greenhouse setup. The StarTrek is by far the most impressive in the garden. The genetics are Sensi Star x Trainwreck. I gave her what could end up being her final feed pending on what the trichs show over the next couple days. If I can continue to feed for another week I will, but it's looking like we're approaching that time to flush for a week or two and chop her down @ 10 weeks.

Enjoy the bud porn! Please comment people! Would love to get some reviews on how everyone thinks they are coming along :weed:

You've got to be happy with those results, especially outdoor! Those buds look dense, keep an eye out for mold on the inside of your buds.

Thx brotha! And yes, I'm very pleased with the results. I hear ya on watching out for mold. Luckily just being out of the rain and having good airflow pretty much prevents that, and then anytime the greenhouse is completely closed up I run my AirKing dehumidifier @ 55% (also helps keep the GH warm at night, as it puts off a good bit of heat) and I also run a small HEPA air purifier next to it. So far, so good!

where did you got the seeds from? or is that clone?
The StarTrek (Sensi Star x Trainwreck) was given to me as a clone. Another medical patient went to a meeting and grabbed it. He doesn't know much about growing, but said everything the grower told him while giving him the clone was amazing and when he talked about the potency, aroma, & flavor my friend said the guy had a twinkle in his eye haha. So ya, I ended up with the clone and now this is where I'm at =)

I've heard from some that they believe they have smoked StarTrek before and that the cross has been around for a bit. I'm not sure if this person made the cross himself or purchased the cross from a seed bank, but I cannot find a StarTrek line available from any seedbank so until I see otherwise, it is an unknown/local to me.

Top cola is filling in nicely and still has a bit more swelling to do. It should be about forearm size when it is done ...

Here's a couple pics of my Mazar's. They are beasts and I look forward to removing the White Widow & StarTrek completely so that these can have some extra room to finish. They are late flowering strains, so I'd be screwed if I wasn't in a greenhouse because I will need to keep these going well into November, as they like 11-12 weeks. The greenhouse is great because I will not be effected by a single frost or storm that hits us, as I'm full protected & have heaters.

hey man the star threk looks great and very frosty, and your up in north oregon right? alot of us down here are harvesting already outdoors, my grower is in the process of chopping and trimming, im just wondering if they go longer up theri or what, im sure that since you have a green house to that it helps let them go longer.
and hey i want to go into your jungle of a green house i would love to get lost in theri.
i really like how your plants are so healthy and green still most peoples plants when its near finish they let it start to yellow witch is ok when you flush, but i think a plant should be kept as green as possible up until the flush starts.
how many grows have you done inthe green house Mazar

Thx homes!

Yes, I noticed that these plants all flowered very late in comparison to what I was hearing from many growers down in So OR, Cali, ... I wondered if it was something about the latitude, but honestly I think it more came down to genetics for this grow. The White Widow started first and finished this week, hence me starting to harvest the upper part of the plant, and I'm leaving the bottom half for next week while I continue my flush. This is a typical harvest time for the Widow. StarTrek following a week or two later. And the Mazar requires as much as 11-13 weeks to finish and started after all the others, so in order to finish that properly I'm gonna have to carry that well into November. If I didn't have the GH I prob wouldn't get anywhere near full yield out of the Mazar, as eventually we'd get weather & frosts that'd stunt growth, kill, or disease them. One of the many beauties of being covered/weatherproof, running a dehumidifier, heater, ... all which allow me to grow year around if I wanted. I was thinking after I pull that I could put autoflowers in the GH and continue to grow during the winter. I'd just have to put a heater in there and maybe buy an outdoor greenhouse 1,000w HPS light or two.

I've been growing indoors since around April-May of '05, I think. Had some on/off periods due to an irrational girlfriend. But this is my first outdoor grow start to finish. And first time in a greenhouse. Regardless of my current results, I have learned quite a few things along the way that I will do differently next year (ie Bigger GH, more spacing between plants, different nutrient lines, ...) that should produce even greater results. Can't wait til next spring! =)

It was pretty overcast today so I didn't feel I could fully showcase the plants/buds. The natural light hitting it with the flash on the camera turned off would really help to bring out better close ups of the trichs. I'll try again tomorrow. I was at an electronics shop the other day and walked by their camera lineup. I'd love to grab a professional grade camera/lenses for high quality bud shots to submit to cannabis magazines & whatnot, as well as grab a video camera to create HOW TO videos for beginners. Everything from how I mix so many organic nutrients and feed, how to top, prune, check for bugs, flushing, harvesting, trimming, ... I'd fucking LOVE to make videos like that. I've watched so many on youtube, and while there are some that I've come across that are very helpful, I think some people on there have really wasted all their great video equipment cuz they put some shit videos out and don't know what they are talking about. I know I could do much better. I think I will have all that purchased within the next 3 months, so I'll keep you guys posted on that when I start producing videos. While a lot of you already know what I'd be talking about, I'd still like to hear feedback from experiened growers to make sure I'm explaining in the HOW TO's with a proper approach that is easy to understand yet informative.

Greenhouse little fsna on each corner?? or bigg fan on each side/door corner??
Two fans ... One on each corner of the entry side of the GH. I couldn't fit/mount them on the other side. Another spacing issue I plan to fix with a larger GH next year. Wanted to suspend some fans on the upper beams but the colas are about to raise the roof, so again, no room. I might toss another one in where the white widow is right now when I chop her down completely.

hey i like the auto odea over the winter that would be cool. and dam for a first start to finish outdoor GH grow it is doin great. and ya ive seen alot of videos on how to grow and what not and it seems to me tha they all leave some important stuff out and just arent that good or they dont show what they are really talking about, if you do make some let me know and ill check them out. and a staggered harvest is the way alot of outdoor growers do it to help improve yeilds adn let the bottom ripen. did you check out my fish story from today

For sure ... I'll keep ya updated on that!

Yes, I posted a response on your fish thread. Very sick! Need to go fishing/crabbing sometime

I'm gonna start saving fish bones/crab shells and creating my own organic meals for the girls on my next grow

i saw you post but i didnt post what i wanted you to read untill you had already posted or mabye you did see it i dont know. well it pretty much says i had a big steel head on and had it 1 ft away from the dry bank and my line snapped.

and that stuff will make some good stuff for the plants to eat, just make sure it is all composted right before you use. when i was growing i was gonna by a small tumble compster and a worm farm for worm castings it would be cheaper in the long run to use all you own made stuff.
and hey i go fishing every day or at least try but dont catch any thing all the time. and i would love to get out and go crabbing and i dont mean off the docks at the bay, i mean go out 10-50 miles and catch some nice sized one

Sounds good homes!

If you don't mind lets talk about this in private msg or on your fish thread, I kinda wanna keep this thread more focused on StarTrek Flowering Updates.

And thank you for the +rep! Much appreciated! =)
