Decided to drop the net 1" and I like the way it is spreading out the tops, this will allow quite a bit more growth without adding any height, actually subtracting a bit for the moment. I can also see quite a few more pistils which is exciting! Is there a certain point where I will want to remove the net

Nice lil scrog you’ve got going. Don’t defoliate anymore as you’ve cleaned her up pretty good and right now she needs her leaves. Wait til 21 days of flower to do a defol if needed. Can’t wait to see how she flowers for you

Friday flower update: she's looking good and I'm tucking as much as I can under the net when the shoots are long enough. I think this net will save my ass if I do it right because she has no intentions of slowing down yet. The close up shot sucks so I will try to get a better one tonight when lights are back on but the hairs are showing everywhere.

Thank you for the compliments and tips!

Damn, when you said you were growing a SSH in that small area, I thought to myself, no way!
I think you just might pull this off!

Friday flower update: weeks are flying by now it seems. She is healthy and progressing with lots of bud sites. I'm not sure if she has tapered off on stretching or if the constant handling and tucking has stunted her but she isn't gaining much height anymore. Maybe it's just me. I'm going to wait for the tops to get longer if she's still stretching before another tuck. Feeding 500ml or so every 2nd or 3rd day depending on what she wants. I've found that waiting till the fan leaves start to point slightly down is exactly when she wants a watering because right after that the leaves all perk up and dance in the fan breeze. I got lazy last Friday and didn't snap a better flower close-up but got a good one this morning. Anyone care to take a guess at how much you think this may yield? I'm hoping to go full 11 weeks of flower.

Damn almost Friday!! When should I remove the net? She seems to have stalled out on stretching on the main 8 tops but the middle is filling in nicely too with mini tops everywhere. Do you guys think she will gain much more height from here? I can move my light up another 3 or 4 inches to allow more height but I really want to get this net out of there since it sits in bad places in some spots where buds are trying to grow. I'm afraid if I remove the net she will push up a bit. I suppose I can just pull down the larger stems from underneath. Thoughts?

I am really enjoying watching this thread. Good work!

Friday flower update: steady as she grows. Looks like things are filling in nicely. If she doesn't gain much height in the next few days I will remove the net and possible restrain the main branches from below. I'm also going to run my fans when lights are off to keep my humidity from spiking any longer. I don't want to risk any fungus growth. Definitely picking up crystals and the hairs are Einstein crazy!

Well some bad news for a change....it's a Hermie annnnd I split one of the main splits trying to tie her down a bit after taking off the net.

I don't know if it's my fault she hermied or if she was bound to since I got the seed from a batch of buds....genetics? I cut every little sack off that I could find and only 1 burst on me with the fans blowing the pollen away from the plant luckily. None of the sacks looked to be opened yet. I'm sure I missed a few.

The split is concerning cause this is the first time I've broken a plant. I tied it quickly with some string and threw some cinnamon on top of that...probably should have done it in reverse? Anything I should do at this point or let her tell me what's next?

Doing some research it seems like this may be a common mistake and should heal on its own (the split). My last 2 grows including this one have been from seeds I found in buds I purchased. 2 of the 3 strains have hermied on me. So I’m done with the junk seeds after this grow and I just bought 3 feminized photo Cinderella 99 seeds from GrowersChoiceSeeds. Hopefully it’s not a weird light leak causing my problems! I may try to have lights on during the day and lights off at night next time to limit available light but it’s harder to keep things cool. Stay tuned!

Sometimes you have to bite the bullet, and BUY good genetics. If you find seeds in your bud, there's a good chance those seeds were created by a hermaphrodite.

For $40/3 beans I can’t really call it bighting the bullet, more like a spit wad haha! I’m excited for the real Cindy 99, should be the perfect strain for my micro box. I’m move of an indica guy thoug so I’m not sure if these sativas is what I should be growing...SSH was awesome tho

Any opinion on whether I should run Cindy 99 next or should I pull the trigger on some Wedding Cake beans? I’ll be buying feminized photo seeds from growers choice seeds.

Friday flower update: rough week (for me) with crazy work, social distancing, and some plant mishaps on my end. I removed all of the pollen sacks I could find and I have not been able to find any more. The split seems to have healed or the plant didn't notice or both. The buds are filling all the way down the stems on the 8 main tops and the center seems to be one solid canopy of mini tops. I defoliated some of the fan leaves that were drying up and wilting at the bottom as well as some of the fan leaves crowding the middle and preventing airflow. I also added a small USB fan to blow air from the bottom up basically right up the main stem into the middle of the canopy. I have been running the fans 24/7 all week and it has made a huge difference in my humidity swing with lights off. I look forward to taking the lessons learned in this grow and going farther next time. This box should be able to hold a 16 top mainline bush. I wish I had room for 2 so I didn't have to make tough strain decisions but the ease and minimal maintenance that the 1 plant grow has been compared to my first 4 planter is night and day difference. Carry on and stay safe out there good peeps!

I love purple kush! C99 is good, though it doen't yield very well, but the bud is very good. It's stringy also. The pineapple pheno is my favorite.

Friday flower update: week 5.57

Nothing really to add, no new pollen sacks, no evidence of any that I missed that popped anywhere but things are getting really frosty so it would be hard to tell the difference anyway. The 8 main tops do not seem to be gaining any height at this point hut everything is filling in like crazy. I'm semi concerned that the middle will be too dense to keep from molding but time will tell I'm not fucking with her. Only thing I have been doing besides watering and feeding is ticking any fan leaves back so they are not shading a bud site. Watering 500ml every 2 or 3 days with megacrop and a good drop or 2 of molasses. Light is about 7" from the top of the plant at about 80w and it has been that way pretty much the whole grow, I'm not seeing any damage from that proximity and she is growing well. Hairs are turning orange where last week they were all still white. I anticipate up to 5 more weeks of flowering for this lady, hoping for less but we shall see when she decides to be ready. Getting there!! After next week I'll call it the final stretch.
