Then you'll be set for a while...for free! Plus you get to grow out some exclusive shit that you made, and if you find a keeper in there then it feels sooooo good to be running something killer that YOU made. :mrgreen:

Yeah D.C im really looking forward to not having to purchase anything unless i want to just try something different you know? Im really hoping to get a couple good mates to re-pollen out of the papaya and Swiss Cheese i think those two will hold up well as far as potency and yield i'll call it California Cheese always have to have some Fruit with your Cheese..lol
I know it takes around 4-5 times breeding to get a good final pheno am i right ?

Depends. If you want to be able to produce seeds that consistently recreate the parents' phenotypes, which is called true-breeding or inbred strain lines (IBL), then it can take 10 generations. This is what the real pro breeders do, or are supposed to be doing at least.

If you just want to get a good pheno on lockdown so you can continue to clone it and maybe over time hone it down then you could accomplish this on your first cross. This is called pollen-chucking. Just crossing two nice plants, or two plants that you have at least. Then just grow out at least 10-20 of the offspring, and after weeding-out the males, you should be left with 4-10 girls that all look different. Out of these you should get at least one killer pheno. You won't know which one it's going to be though until they're completely done flowering, dried, cured, and you smoke it. That's why you have to take a few cuts of each one before flowering them so you make sure that you can keep your favorite pheno going in the future.

Im back and this question will come with pic's, ok i dont think i removed my male fast enough from my flowering room and im sure that a couple of pods may have popped during lights off..the Thing is my buds look great but im not sure if my plants have been polinated or if this plant has hermied on me are these seed pods forming in my buds or signs of hermie? :wall:

i hope you can help me by looking at the pic's i'll post..Thanks in advance for your help..Peace

Also i failed to mention that the pods are not all over every bud sight just about half of them...

Here we go, i hope all will be well. I went in and did some surgery on the BLZ Bud that i did'nt want to get pollenated, it was not totally infested but i did remove ruffly 25-30 seeds from the main large bud sights and just for the hell of it i left some on the lower small buds for seeds. Im not sure how this will work out as far as the quality of smoke will be but we'll see, maybe removing the seeds from the main buds will help it to finish up in good quality im going to let it go 10 weeks for the extra time...will this help with the quality of the smoke? The buds right now are smelly and sticky frosted right now and look great, im just glad it was'nt hermie....

I didn't see any seeds in the 1st set of pics, though mine seeded they looked like the pouches with the pistols coming out of em but they split and show the seed...good job man....why did you pluck out the seeds? I was under the impression that when you seed bud it is less potent since it puts energy into creating seeds instead of THC but idk for sure. I had some strawberry cough that was seeded and it was good...

Hey AI, glad you stopped by and thanks for the help out, the only reason i removed most of the seeds from the main cola's on the BLZ BUD is because i never intended to pollenate her. It was an accident, and since i didnt want my high priced BLZ to suffer a huge potency lost due to seeds, i figured id remove most of the seeds from the main buds..I hope this makes some kind of sence..I've never had seeds before so i dont know what the smoke would be like if left as is. All i here is others talking about bud losing potency because of seed production, is this true?

Im sorry but, i think i was worrying to much about nothing, as it seems to have turned out after all with some very intence inspection on my ladies and i do mean close scrutiny there is not one sighting of any traits of hermie..I went over them with a 60x micro and a fine tooth comb and not one bannana sighting no balls anywhere so go figure it like i said it was simply pollenated by my male plant and the things i showed earlier as seed pods are just that seed pods and i found a few that are about to fall and have turned brown that you can see in one of the pic's..So yes im happy and the buds look outstanding and im looking forward to a good harvest as not all of the plants are pollenated just the side that was nearest the male plant.. :mrgreen:

Also take a look at pic #7 there is one of the seeds that are coming out of the pods they are not bannanas there seed pods... :fire:

Dude you're all good man, don't worry. lol You could have just left the seeds, it's not going to affect the quality of the remaining bud. The only difference between a pollinated plant's bud and one that was not is the amount of seeds. The potency will be the same and unaffected. It's just a shift in yield from empty bracts to seeded bracts, which leaves you with a decrease in yield for plant matter and an increase in yield for seeds. Depends on which you want, but the remaining bud however much you have will be unaffected.

So in short, ten seeds in a cola ain't that bad. And if you do want any for next time, don't pick them out! You have to let them go full term until they are almost (or actually are) falling off of the plants. Then they are fully mature seeds. Immature seeds produce a higher percentage of males and mutants among other things if they sprout at all.

Yeah thanks for the post D.C if for some reason over the next 3 1/2 to 4 weeks my buds take a turn for the worse then im not to worried im not going to remove any more seeds i was mainly doing this because people said they were pollen sacks and i had to see for myself that every one of the sacks i removed had the makings of a seed in them..some almost brown and some still white but hard and round..we'll wait and see thanks again bro...
