i've read a lot of reports of femmed beans, particularly by greenhouse turning hermie. a lot of growers want nothing to do with fems. it makes sense that it would increase the chances. if you make a female plant turn hermie, she's going to pass her traits on.
i'm not keen on the concept on an aesthetic level. the only point i can see in fems is to try a strain before plunking down a lot on a pack or to try a bunch of strains or if a "must have" strain is only available as a fem. otherwise, they just ain't natural.
if greenhouse is NOTORIOUS for hermies, i'd say that it's a clear indication femming does increase the chances of passing it on as a trait.
