Hello, I am hoping to get a bunch of data from growers here in order to compile it and analyze it. The title of the thread is mainly to get people interested and to participate in the data sample, do not try to answer it. This Thread is mainly to collect data, so please refrain from replying if you're not going to give any, thanks!

Participants: Please Structure Replies as shown below:

1. Experience: in years E.g: 6 months would be 0.5

2. Light setup: what kind of lights (cfl, led, hid, etc), and total watts being used (max)

3. Photo-period in vegetative: 18/6 ? 20/4 ? etc be specific

4. Photo-period in flower: 12/12 ? etc be specific

5. How many days or weeks in veg ?

6. How many days or weeks in flowering ?

7. How many days or weeks from seedling/clone, to harvest ? specify whether from clone or seed. If clone, specify size.

8. How many plants did you start with and how many were harvested ?

9. Yield from harvest, wet and dry ?

10. Average temperature of grow room ?

11. Nutrients: yes/no (if you used nuts in one cycle and not the other, please inform)

12. Species: indica/sativa, (if hybrid: eg: 60%indica/40%sativa)

13. Strain: white widow, big bud, etc

14. Accidental stress?: Eg: overwatering, disease, pest, rot, etc, etc and how long it took to recover.

15. CO2 ?: yes/no

16. Pruning ? yes/no

17. Average plant Height:

18. Average number of colas per plant.

19. Any training/manipulation ?: eg: LST, supercropping, top, Fming, Scrog, SoG, main-lining, etc

20. Size of grow space: LxWxH

Obviously these are a lot of questions, you don't have to answer all of them, but it'd be great if you gave it a go.
Finally, the answers must come from one specific grow that you have completed. If you have data about other grows you have made, make a separate reply for each individual harvest.
Thanks

in a non joking manner anyone planning on answering these questions about a potential illegal activity on a open online forum should rethink doing so.

So this idea completely failed lol
Knew it would, you didn't offer up what the data was for or how you were gonna use it ?

or even a reward for playin ?

not to mention that most of us are aware that the data would be skewed even before we answer 8)

I wanted to run regressions, and make continuous probability distributions of data. I'm a new grower and dabble in econometrics, i thought it would be a fun exercise to run some statistical tests on data relating to cannabis growing, its a huge industry now and there is so much to be learned. There are so many questions that are asked regarding growing, and most of the time the answers are very take my word for it, qualitative statements. With statistical modeling I could try to give more concrete answers backed up with large sample size.
Anyway i did suspect that people would be too lazy to answer all those questions..but i tried regardless.
I dont know how i can reward people for participating. Yes you are right, data collection has its flaws, but that doesnt mean you shouldnt attempt the scientific exercise :)

take a look here, minor prize, lots of activity

https://www.rollitup.org/t/discreet-seeds-riu-exclusive-competition.907478/

after all we a forum full of stoners LOL

but also consider, the difference between seasoned and new growers not to mention that every garden is different as well. No matter how much data you collect there is no way to say strain a will grow this way and produce this and smell like this and have this type of high with this taste ?

In the end I see no benefit ? But do agree that science is opening up with the current trends in legalization

I'll play a simplified version
Sour strawbeer diesel ( my own cross)
6 plants
3 gallon trash can
Miracle grow potting and native soil.
600w and 400 w hps (1000w total)
Minimal pruning
In ground Dec 2 harvested 3\1.
5x5x6.5 tent.
430 cfm exhaust blower.
Did not have cross blowing fan
12/12 from seed
21 ounce harvest
3 oz trim

Yes in my survey there is a question about years of experience, and all the questions i ask is to get a majority of the variables recorded. Thats why its such a big list, and no you cant account for all the variables but you can for the major one and create margins of error.
thanks for the link, ill check it out.
