hahaha never had one of those but a nice snail trail all the way down a blunt was my way to go. especially if you line it up opposite to the line.

Good timing Vertigo.. Did not pull my Super Silver here in Boston until last week on the day of the Huricane. It could have used a little longer but I'm lucky to have the time I did..
So now I have a pile of decent bud but a lot of trim and secondary buds. I don't know where I heard it but I thought someone was suggesting sativa dom weed not the best for hash? Is that right bud?
I just did my first ever Butane run with 14 grams of very good trim and scrapple. I'm guessing right now but I think it will way up at a little over 2 grams if I can get it into a pile. WTF. It was tit to do and I made a few minor mistakes but I have learned and am ready to give it another shot.
So Vertigo...Couple of questions if you will.. Do I have to dry the weed or will chopped green work just as well? Does one run thru with the tane get all the good stuff or should you run it more than once? How tight should I pack? I don't think I "purged" my first attempt well enough based on a vid I just watched.
Most importantly!! How the hell do I control this goop. It's everywhere and sticky as hell. Just very hard to manage. WTF.. I went from one razor back to the other over and over. Now if an old guy like me can just figure out how to smoke it.

It all depends on your preference, i personally love sativa hash.

Dry is the only way for me. Graywolf likes to blast fresh frozen trim but its not for me.

That all depends on how wide your tube is. Try an experiment. Blast a tube, unpack, stirup, repack, reblast, check quality of reblast. If you get a decent amount then u obviously need to reblast everytime.
How tight should I pack?
I like to be able to blow a lil air thru the tube. easy way to tell if you pack it tight enough is how far the material moves while balstig. if the material moves a couple inches and u end up with a gap in the tube when youre done, you need to pack tighter next time. its difficult to describe the amount of force thats used when packing.
I don't think I "purged" my first attempt well enough based on a vid I just watched.

1st off fuck blasting on glass and fuck razor blades. I tolerated that shit for years! Line your pyrex with parchment paper (NOT WAX PAPER) and do everything else like normal except blast right onto the parchment. No sticky fingers FTW!

I love ssh, its a classic. I love sativas that feel like a frontal lobotomy. When done correctly this fits the bill nicely.
For the record, i use an okief xl. I like glass but its too brittle ime. My tubes get a workout and i need them to be like a tank.

Tanks Budski. I'll tell you vertigo that this ain't rocket science. I'm sure there is a lot of tweaking to be done but I'm just hoping your right about the parchment paper. The toughest part is dealing with the goop.
It's a pain in the ass to smoke for an old guy equiped with nothing but papers and pipe. I've been smoking it on ashes like it was crack but getting very very high and it actually tastes and smell like hash. Go figure.
Tell me my friend I figure I got about 2 grams out of 14 grams of the tightest trim and small buddage from the Super Silver. Does that sound about right? The biggest issue is knowing when it's more cost effective to leave bud as bud. Oh yeah..your idea about shooting the leavings one more time to see if I'm getting it all is simple but genius. ha ha.
