I don't know much about vettes, what do you guys think of them? My gripe is they are EVERYWHERE around here. Everyone and their dog has one, but if I can work one to be like in the vid I posted, hell yeah I'll buy one. Might take a shit ton of money to get it there, but totally worth it. I can't live with a stock car anyway, I don't have it in me

lol it really does have way too much power. its a all stock c5 with a 1300hp engine on boost with a 500 shot of nitrous on reserve

i hated the vettes of the 90s, i guess they were either the c4's or c5's, i'm far from a vette expert, so i'm not sure.. i dig the new style though as i feel like they simply ripped of the nsx's looks, and who doesen't like an nsx?

my mom's father was killed in an accident when she was a teen, so my gmom got a nice settlement check, this was back in the 50's, so she went out and bought herself a brand new i think it was a 57 vette.. a few years later, she gave the 57 to my uncle and she bought a brand new 64 i think it was..
when i was a kid, she got rid of that one and had a 71 stingray... it was nice and all, but idk, i wasn't crazy about them.. they only got uglier from then imvho as well..

my uncle how has like an 07 vette... he was here in it the other day and i think he said he just hit 1400 miles on the ride over, lol... he's also been building an all steel 32 ford vikki for years.. it's getting pretty close to being done atm.. i'm sure he'll keep it for a year or two and end up selling it like he does with all of his shit..

i like the c5 and newer vettes. wouldnt want anything older than that. cool cars though!

crap where do you live man!? I would have a field day hanging out with you guys lol. I looked into nitrous for..off the track... I was surprised you can get a decent kit for like, 500 bucks! But I would have to go all out, my cars already pushing max hp with stock internals, anymore and I would have to replace pistons, rods, it would have to be completely worked over to handle anymore at this point.

edit: if I get a vette it will def be a c6, everyone I talk to recommends it. Just debating still...

well thats in florida, im in kentucky now. and ya you can get nitrous pretty cheap and cost about 3 bucks a pound. when i played with it a 10lb bottle would give me a good weekend of fun as long as i wasnt on it all day. ive actually used it to make up lost time trying to get to work before lol.

c5's are when the new body styles came out dro? like the c5's and c6's look pretty much alike? the one in the yard then would be a 4 and the one out in the street would be a 5 or 6, correct?

yes the 5 and 6 look somewhat similar, the c5 was the last year with flip ups. thats the biggest difference between the 5 and 6. the c4 looked like a door wedge lol. the one pic i posted has a black C4 and a silver C5.

i used to hang out with this dude who had a c4.. he used to beat the shit out of it, but i agree, they look more like wedges, lol.

yeah they're a little more expensive now but not much lol. Maybe it was you who flew passed me on the highway one day lmao. I don't remember what car it was, maybe a Porsche, but I remember on the highway heading south this summer, I hear a faint whistle(supercharger)...then a louder whistle...then I see a silver car fly pass me, doing well over a 100...because I was already doing 80-90, felt like I was sitting still

lol ya they are ugly but they will take a beating! the first zr1 corvette was that ugly c4 actually, but they have come a long way from that with the new zr1!

haha well that c5 was pretty nuts. we've raced everything from busas to twin turbo AMGs out on the highway and never lost a race. without even downshifting you can punch the gas and the car will slide across 3-4 lanes, blow the tires away, and still just take off down the road and leave what ever its racing in the dust. idk why something that gets NO traction is SO fast lol. it just is i guess

ehh i hear the supra isnt that great because of its longer wheel base. idk i wouldnt build a supra drift car.

that's sexy man, not too flashy either. I would own that in a heart beat, what kind of power was it pushing? Pretty big turbo on it

the really have come a long way in a few short years.. i had almost forgotten just how ugly the c4's were, thanks for reminding me, lol...

those c6's have been killing it for a few years at lemans and the endurance races in general.. getting tired of seeing that yellow vette on the top step at every race, i have to admit..

1250 on boost and a 500 shot of nitrous was to be put on it later but idk if that ever happened. it was a customers car and that show was the last time i saw it.

Personally I love Supra's, but between those two makes I would have to take the R33. Sell it, and buy two mark 4's. I've heard that R34 engines are illegal in my state actually, I never looked into it though.
