Swing States?

I wonder why the media doesn't use the term swing state anymore. Now it's all "battle ground states".

I feel like we're being tricked into believing we're in a perpetual state of war with one another.

It's pretty fucked up.

We are in a manufactured perpetual war with each other. Battleground states makes it sound more action-y and contentious. Calling them swing states might get everybody to get together and wife swap.
