I was out of town for a couple weeks so I couldnt do any updates. I will keep posting as I go. My next round will have Purple Kush and Qrazy Train that have only been under LED while in flower. I moved the chocolope under HID for the last month or so to see what would happen.

I also just picked up a 600 watt HID and 8inch Fan with a giant filter. I'm going to try to get them up and running over the weekend but it's going to be busy so I may have to wait till next weekend. I also want to start making Scrog frames - all in good time

Just waiting to see some amber then it's harvest time. I'm guessing this Friday or Saturday all should be good to go.

Im also starting to build a scrog frame so I can try my hand at scrogin

Here is a quick picture update.
Girls are getting pretty big in veg - put some clippings from the Jillybeans in the flower room to sex them. I probably should have done this a few weeks ago but didnt think of it.

Looks like Friday harvest will take place for a chocolope, purple kush and qrazy train if all goes as planned. Most triches are looking cloudy with a bit of amber starting to show up. I hope 3 more days will get them to completion.

Wife took over the garden for a few days and didnt do a good job watering. Some of the younger aditions to the flower room took a beating. I just watered them so they should perk up soon.

I'll also be cloning this weekend!

also added a shot of the Blueberry and Chocolope curing. They are in half gallon jars. Blueberry is 3 weeks deep and chocolope is a litle over a week in curing.

Hey Johnny, quick question. I know you have some plants under HID and some under LED. Are you seeing any difference in yield between the two?

I've had different strains running under different lights so it's a tough call. Factor in that I'm just learning to grow and that adds to it.

Once I sex the 5 jilly bean I have going and get some clones I plan on doing some sort of test between all the lights I have. Thinking of doing 500 watt LED vs 600 watt HID vs 400 watt HID + LED or something like that.

At this point I've only harvested a blueberry and chocalope. The blueberry was around 2 ounces and the chocalope was around 2.5 ounces. Blueberry was primarily under HID and chocalope was under LED. But from what I understand chocalope should have a higher yield so I can't say lighting was a factor.

They look great. Not sure how long you vegged for but 2-4 oz is fairly average for me with Chocolope and a short veg.

Thanks for the response man. I would love to see that test you described. That would be cool.

I will plan on running the test in a few months. Once I get the clones up and running and have the scrog setup complete.
By that time I will be a bit more confident in my growing so it should be a fairly well run experiment.

Anyone have any thoughts on mosquito dunks and how to use them with soil?

If they will kill larva I have pest strips to kill the adults.

Also wondering about going with cocoa and or peat and not using soil. Would this help since most all soils have larva?

My last few bags of soil must have been loaded with trip larva

I know it sounds crazy but if you bake your soil in the oven at 350 for like 30 minutes it will kill all that stuff.

I'm not allowed to touch the oven. Any other thoughts

No way my wife would let that happen!

Maybe I could treat the soil with water/mosquito dunk before using it?

Do you have a BBQ? Heat it up in there.

Sounds about norm...most girls wouldn't let us put anything in the oven. The BBQ is my domain as well. I love the grill.

Had a three plant chop down night. Took down a Chocolope, Purple Kush and Qrazy Train. PK & Qrazy flowered only under LED and Chocolope flowered under LED untill the last two weeks I put under a 400 watt HID.
Can not believe the crystals! It looked like someone poured diamond crystals all over the girls! Wish I had a good camera for some close shots.

I had more than planned so I had to improvise and create a drying box out of a large cardboard box I had to get all my chocolope in. In the tent the top level is Purple Kush and the lower level is Qrazy Train, the box had Chocolope.

The format of the site has been jacked up for the last several days. I don't even have the ability to +rep.I will gladly do it once the site is back. Or maybe it's my iPad? Does the site look and work normal for everyone else?

There is no "Like" button anymore but you can still +rep. I feel like a lot of people stopped coming by. The traffic seems way down since the hack.

I've been having a lot of issues getting on the site over the past several weeks. I'm on my PC now and things look back to normal but it's not fun when the site is down or jacked up for some reason. Damn hackers need to spend time on this site and learn how to grow some meds and relax instead of busting up everyone elses good time

Filled up 7 jars from the three girls (will weigh soon)

Best thing is the crystals! Took a jar to my local compassion club and my buddy couldnt believe it. He took the jar to everyone at the club to show off the crystals. It looks like I dipped them in sugar!
