Tangerine Dream, Kings Kush, - The Journey begins- 1400 watts, plus floros indoor

Fuck dwc man, the ph changes from 5 to 6.2 daily went in the room right now and the water sticks and is bubbly? Emptied the water might just do soil the water fluctuating ph is fucking annoying. Guess I have bad water. Why does it start to stink? Water temps are cool. Fuck I am so pissed and annoyed right now. I will change water once a week but fuck every 3 days is bullshit. Fuck

wow....calm down dude! ph fluctuation could be several things. Whats the ppm of your water? When you set just a glass of water out for a while does it have the same smell? I think mine was caused by the caulking. get some extra buckets and put a stone in em so u can stabilize your solution and then just swap out buckets...what nutes are you using?

Last night ppm was around 450 ph was at 5.6 because I adjusted it from being like 7.2. I went to bed with it like this. I went in today and the water kind of stunk it was cloudy and bubbly on top what do you mean by caulking

I am using gh 3 part. I need a new reliable feeding schedule .forgot to say the ph went up to like 7.2 again ppms went up to 550? This is when I dumped it the girls are in hydration net pots alone right now

my tapwater has a ppm of 350 and a ph of 8. I need to get a RO system asap huh.... Where could I get a cheap one?

u can get em for a couple hundred dollars...but with a ppm of 350 you need anything you can get...even if its just a good water purifier to drop the ppms 150-200...for as little water as you need to purify, look up zero water systems..i seen one at wal mart for $110 I think? u only have 3 buckets right? get your water from wal mart and mix it 2 to 1 if u have to...

Wow i wish i had a cool room like that (someday its on the wishlist) anyway i just received a pack of Tangerine Dream also and started 2 of them on the 22nd no sprouts yet but i also have 2 G-13 BBG seedlings that are on week three i am a noob with indoor growing and hydro done a few outdoor grows with random seeds pretty successfully I would be interested in hearing more of your experiance to learn ( I thought INBUDWETRUST would make a cool mentor) i currently am on a fairly tight budget so things are coming together slowly. I have a closet room tented that is 5'x3'deepxjust over 6' which i put in a wood bench to hold and store my hydro system (ebb and flow) the flood tray is filled with hydroton clay pebbles and i am using a 500 cfm air mover to exhaust the room and a 8" fan to circulate the air,thing are running pretty smoothly so far with my avg temp staying at 77deg fluctuating to low of 66 at night and the high so far has been 82 relative humidity stays consistently around 52% low of 34 and a high of 61 i do have a dehumidifier in case i need it i am running a T5 2' 4 lamp sunblaze light with 6500k bulbs. I am using techna flora nutes and following the recipe to the letter i have had a few learning experiances so far and couple of minor mistakes but all in all things seem to be going ok (but what do i know just a noob with this) so all that said i will remember my cannabis etiquette and humbly ask you to share your experiance and take me under your wing so to speak as a mentor in indoor hydro growing. just a thought (maybe a stoned thought but still good one in my book) anyway thanks for reading all this rambling i am on here most everyday to check things out and have a few posts and journal entries if you care to check em out and offer any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Ok I got the whole ph and ppm thing down now.

Plants are moving kinda slow, the afghan kush ryder auto strain is the biggest and its in soil foxfarm/organicsalive/dr.Earth Organic5 mix. I see the others barely starting to break through the hydroton. hopefully once they hit the nutrient solution they will start growing faster. They are under floros, I added a couple cfls to speed up veg. Once they get about a foot I will put the net up and start training the plant in an x shape like a thread I saw on here by scottyballs. From there hopefully I could have the main lights on in about a two weeks, three weeks, they are still like 3 inches tall. I am currently at 5.6 ph with ppm around 350-400. Could I wait till like three weeks to do the first water change? I think I put them in the dwc buckets too soon, next round I will wait until they are rooted a lot more. I don't think I need to change the water yet. suggestions?

How far is the water from the bottom of your netcups? Is your air stone making water dropplets pop and hit the bottom of the cup? you should have root tips at least starting to poke through by now. how deep did you plant your cubes?

Water is like 1 inch from the bottom of the net pots. Airstone seems to be making the water boil, so yes some droplets I guess, the bottom of the hydoton is wet. Yea I thought I would def have roots by now. The plants are like halfway down the three inch net pots. Thanks for the help p

Sub'd, interesting new strain and kick ass set up! Looks like my grow started around when yours did...this is only my second so im still doin soil...very interested in both tangerine dream and DWC for future grows.

I dont think i read anywhere in the thread, but is that screen u have in there for SCROG or SOG or somethin else?

See any roots yet? what is the res temp? In my experience higher res temps encourage root growth

Ok so the Afghan kush special has a lot of roots showing, healthy hairy ones. One of the tangerine dreams is showing three new shoots almost touching the water. I took the Kings kush and put her in soil, she might not make it , I am not sure what happened to her. The auto strain is getting big, as it wasnt disturbed as much as the others. I took ppms up to around 550 hopefully that wasnt too much. I am going to let the kings kush be a mother to the next batch, but I think I am going to end up either doing the Afghan kush special, or the Kings kush in this room. The tangerine dream is more of a novelty since it won the cup, it takes too long to flower, but I want to try it at least once. I am going to keep a mother alive though, as my outdoor menu this year will be only tangerine dream. I will put these girls out in my backyard probably april 15th.

hey man you were complaining about the ph being messed up. and i think u should no that GH have a hardwaer FloraMicro spesifically for water over 200 ppm total or 70 ppm. calcium. i really do recommend that u look into this because that would def cause a problem with flora series and would hopefully save u money and save u from buying a filter. good luck man! i also have some tangerines going in rockwool but feeding with floraNova instead because my buddy gave it to me for free. workks greatt also. check em out if u want. https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/403842-barneys-farm-tangerine-dream-seed.html

thanks for the help bro. I figure I need about 3 gallons for each 5 gallon bucket, so its cheaper for me to buy the 1 gallon RO water or 79 cents each. After the first harvest I am going to get an RO filter system. My water was at 450 ppms, was gross.

hey bro honestly i would just buy the hardwater micro nutrient it is a must for ur tap water. and would save u a lot more money than having to buy ro water at 79 cents a gal wen ur gunna spend about 10 bucks watering all 4 plants every 2 weeks at the min., ur gunna be using the same nut the whole cycle of there lifes. thats gunna be a lot of water that ur gunna have to buy witch seems like a total inconvenience to Me.. its gunna cost u about $30 max for the hardwater micro nutrient from GH flora series. in the end im sure u would be better of and u would never really need to get that filter. in my opinion unless u have a large grow or just have loaded pockets a filter system is unnecessary. hope that this helps ya man. take care and let me no if u got any questions about the nutrients..

yeah barneys farm are kinda slow to start, the leaves are a little deformed but its coming along well now. 1x1 rockwool run out all the water so they are damp not soaking wet. put them in a humidity dome, two days they should pop
