Yeah. After my gross negligence with the Blueberry Cupcake clones that got out of control and grew all the way to the top of the 6'6" tent, I realized that I couldn't get my light as high as I'd like with the fan and filter up there. So, I tried throwing the filter and fan on the floor on my 3x3 and liked it because the space is kinda dead anyway and I figure if I have enough air flow inside and negative pressure, it should still pull the hot air out without much issue. So far, in the 3x3 tent, I haven't had any issues keeping the heat under 85° at the canopy. The 4x4 tent which is what these little gals are in is vented outside, so that made a huge difference in temps and I don't have any issue keeping that temp below 82°. I really need to figure out an easy way to raise the light and be able to get it all the way to the ceiling. With the mounting cables, it still hangs lower than I'd like. I have the ratchet hangers, but they are a real bitch to get to in the back of the tent when there's a canopy in there. Hell, they're a pain in the ass if there's no plants in there. Lol.

This is the floor in the 3x3 tent with one of the blueberry cupcake plants on 12/12

I was able to ziptie the mounting cable right to the top bar in the 3x3. This is allowing me to run one of those out of control clones. Lol

That green rubber coated flexible plant wire is super easy to tie up a light up with. You can cinch it up as close as you need, no problem. I buy that stuff by the roll. You can use it for cable ties, light hangers and LSTing plants.

Oh yeah, for sure. I have no shortage of zip ties. I just hate doing that because it feels so permanent. I wish there was an easy.way to hang and lower the led so I don't have to turn it up to max to get enough light.

Day 15 pm

Blumats have been set up. Plants are healthy and happy. Starting to get big, fast.

Reservoir is running 1.0ec pH drifted to 6.1 in 24 hours from 5.8-5.9. I will see where it is at tomorrow night and adjust it back down if needed.

The nodes are pretty tight on these 2. I am guessing it's probably because I had them started under the small, cheap LED basically sitting right on top of them. I assume I will see them stretch up a bit from here now that they are under the big light and it's like 5' above them. We shall see.

Day 27

Posting pics of what my ladies look like before I walk out the door until Thursday night. Added 2 gallons of nutes to the solution. Ppm and pH are holding steady. My son will be keeping an eye on them while I'm gone, but the hopes are that he will need to do nothing. Hopefully these ladies are showing maturity when I get back and are ready to flip.

Day 31

Plants look happy and bushy as hell. Happy to be back in town and get eyes on them. These are a mix of Cindy99 and Purple Urkel. I am going to be keeping these 2 and four Blueberry Cupcake clones in the 4x4 for the whole grow. Should I top again? Let them go how they are now? Tie a few branches down to spread them out?

Thanks. So far I'm happy with it. It passed the 5 day test. That should be all that it needs to do from now til the end. Fingers crossed it continues functioning as it should.
Do you get any runoff with the blumats ? If not, may be a good idea to water them extra once a week to runoff. I always go with the rule of thumb 10-20% runoff so that way if one plant is a picky eater or something , or not eating as much it allows the excess feed to get leeched out and let's you feed stronger. I have some blumats and was thinking of doing this but wasn't sure how well it worked

Not really any runoff with the exception of the occasional heavy dripper. That said, I have been just watching the plants and looking for any problems. So far, the system is working how I want it to. I'm getting a very slow, pretty much constant drip. If I start getting any burn or weird reactions, I will manually feed to runoff to start and see if that helps and then go from there. So far, the plants are healthy, look happy, and growing like, well, weeds.
