TDS goes DOWN! after adding organic fertilizers

I use a TDS (total dissolved solids) meter to keep track of the level of fertilizer I am using on my grow. I found that after adding organic fertilizers of any kind to my feed water LOWERED the total dissolved solids reading! How can this be? How can I measure the amount of organic fertilizers being given to a plant? Why does my meter register a lower number after adding organic ferts?

TDS is total dissolved salts, as in mineral salts,,NPK nutrients. I'm not definate on this but I think you'll find that organic fertilizers go beyond the'mineral salts' and there's some chemical process happening with your organic fertilizers that are beyond mineral salts and TDS measures. I'm certain that I'm right. But not 100% this is factual.

I've found TDS meters don't measure organic content only chemical ferts, which leave an electric charge the meter is reading. Apparently, only practice works with organics. I've gotten the "brown tips" touted by some as a sign of overfeeding. Then backed off the feed. They all look healthy and no bugs or disease so far. Just the heat and wind troubles so far. GSC's are over 8' tall! Two blew over and broke off some prolific branches, boo hoo! Made a nice centerpiece!
