My temp was 84 again, my ph was up to 6.8. I am going to only add ice for first two days like stowandgrow said. And keep my ph down.

just found a post that says it's available at these locations. I'll check and let you know if it really is available. From what I've read it says Everclear should do a very nice job.

Just check the alcohol percentage. (obviously). For some reason I thought it was too strong to carry it and they have weaker everclear available, just like 80 and 100 proof Smirnoff and others. I have know idea where I heard that, I could be completely full of shit. But I would certainly enjoy following your progress, I plan on doing same thing shortly.

Thank you for the heads up. I would have just grabbed it and got home to find out I picked up the wrong proof.

Need to get this started pronto. She is very sick and anything for relief is needed. I'll keep you updated.

You should just go buy some at a dispensary......if you don't know what you're doing with this process, you can get hurt, and I mean serious burns, or have a major fire. It's no joke.......I make this stuff, and use vector butane as the solvent, and push it through a special glass tube made for it, but you can use a stainless turkey baster. Please be careful.......I had a flash fire from just a little bit of remaining solvent when I was doing it the first time.......do this shit outside.

BTW-you can buy everclear anywhere in Michigan....it's just 151 proof, the 190 isn't sold here. I uset he 151 everclear to make tincture......that is a great way to relieve pain and not have to smoke. I do the 30 day method on a seedling warming mat.....much safer than the boil off method. That will burn down your house too LOL.

What little I know about Simpson Oil is that you need about a pound of prime bud to make it correctly. That leads me to believe I do not want to go to a dispensary. They would want $10,000 donation. lol.

nah it'm not that bad.. and there is a guy in the north somewhere with a still and he uses that. about 10 ounces to make 1 ounce of oil at the end - 40 bucks a gram. sooo tasty, my vape might not get turned on for a while! plant material? who needs it! lol

All I remember about the smell is I was like whoa this is crazy, it was so mild. I've run the naphtha and it's an awful smell, also another thing I learned was to mind any vapor that happens to condense on your heating element, I had it run down the side of my rice cooker some and it really did a number on any plastic and rubber ccomponents. As for the smell, I would suggest that if you feel comfortable burning some meds where you plan on doing this and are using the everclear shouldnt be a problem, naphtha on the other hand...

I had a nephew-in-law, I never knew him but have heard the story a thousand times, he was involved in an industrial accident with Naphtha. First day on the job too. Died instantly, he was 21. Truck load came in and someone checked the trailer and lite a cig. Truck, people, bldg, nearby stuff all gone. Happened in Ont., Canada about 40 years ago.

So Naphtha is out.
