the firm plastic card is just a "scraper" i use to scrape the hash off the bags when it's wet. you can get away with just using the spoon for this.Ok or an old visa card? that should work better than a spoon. no?

i used 80 pounds of ice but i did several batches. i think 40 pounds is enough for 1 batch. it's better to have too much ice laying around then not enough. it sucks having to run to the store for more in the middle of everything. yeah it does which is why I want to be sure I have everything first.

it would have really sucked to have gone to track down where to find one only to have known that it was to eat.

yes, screen with a towel. i lay the screen on the towel then drop a gallop of wet hash on it. i let it sit there for a few minutes until it's somewhat firm. then i fold the screen over and gently press. thi9s will get most of the water out.

So I had my list...checked it twice.....
went to the store and got all my stuff...went to the check out.....forgot my money

had to go all the way back home and back again.....

got:

2 microfiber reusable cloths
2 new towels (cause I didn't want any laundry soap or softener residue to end up in my hash)
Dorito nacho cheese crackers AND Betty Crocker(sounds more chickish)
Nacho cheese BUGLES
2 new buckets...not sure what capacity but look big enough


instead of sandwich I got some DARE 'chocolate brownie' bear paws

Then went to another store to get some ice.....lady kept insisting she put the bags of ice in bags........I kept saying it was ok........
she put them in bags anyway so when i went to the parking lot one of them broke open all over the ground

Then got home and forgot the coke....thought maybe I could get away with rootbeer..


Decided not to modify too much and went back to get some coke.

Now I'm exhausted and need to sleep.

every time i set my ice down and take a nap someone steals it. they never steal the bag, just the ice. i wake up hours later and there is just an empty bag sitting in the sun. one day i'll catch the bastards.

Ok I now have all my supplies together and took some pictures minus the ice which is in the freezer. i got 7 bags of it.

The thing I am confused about is how to prepare the trimmings.

I have these male plants to add (big leaves)
then I have some buds to throw in (jars...not all of it)

Do I use the stems? Cut them into pieces? I read different things. Some say to not use them as they will rip the bubble bags.

I also have this blendered weed from last time ....and was wondering if I could just toss in a scoop with each batch of bubble hash I make. ??? I don't wanna chuck it out because there are some real nice buds in there along with the trim.
I have some smaller leaf trim from the females plants but have not sorted through that yet.

Oh and I do have a flat screen as well but forgot to include it in the pics.

remove all the stems. the little stems are ok but the big twigs should be removed. you can throw the blendered weed in as well.

step 1:

mixing equal parts ice to water fill the machine to the desired level.How do I know what my desired level is?



once full start timer for 5 mins to chill the water.



after water is chilled place the first largest meshed zipper bag on top of mixture. i do this so any trichrome heads that fall thru the bag while loading do not end up on the floor but in the machine.




zip it up.


i will take a moment to discuss trimmings. drying is a key element. to wet and it becomes bulky and the trichromes are somewhat harder the remove. to dry and it becomes to powdery cause a lot of impurities to make it into the final product. you want it dry yet "tearable". not crumbly. the trim we are using today is from an outside source so it is somewhat on the very dry side. Do I cut the trim up into smaller ieces first?

also when working with the finished product during the pressing stage wetter trichromes are MUCH stickier and hard to work with. drier trichromes are not sticky enough to stay molded together.

it is a fine line for both of these factors. i make it look easy but it is not. i have 100's of hours of trial and error put in to this.
step 2: push the bag into the mixture. turn it on. i go 12 mins. watch it change to color of the water and start to froth up. mmmmmmmmm. i reach in here and there and shake the bag around to mix up the trim in the bag. we are basically washing the THC off of our weed. like doing fine linens.






step 3:

place the blue bag inside 1 of the five gallon buckets. place the green bag mounted on the board inside the blue bag and bucket. Put the blue bag inside the bucket and place the green bag (mounted on the inside of the blue bag???) Aww...a draw or something...ok I think I got it. using the drain nozzle on the side of the machine drain the run off thru the first 2 bags.Computer is downstairs.....hash making upstairs and no ink to copy tutorial.




step 4:

remove the green bag. this is waste to me. with the volume i running it is not worth it to deal with it at this time. it does hold a lot of trichromes but there is a lot of debri also. some say it is great for cooking with.

yeah I know....most of the brownie bear paws are gone......

Oh good. thats awesome. Oh and I also have some rubber gloves.

i put the ice in first. i fill it to about the top mark with ice then add water until it comes to the top mark. it all depends on how much trim you are running. too much ice-water is better than not enough.
