If your veg space is 4x2x only 3 feet tall your going to need all the spread you can get, your plants are going to be close to the ceiling/lighting which means youd have to put in a lot of boards on soft in order to get the right intensity and spread. Id go for 2-3 4 foot strips or up to 6 2 footers across the other way. If you do boards you will have to keep them on very soft but i can of course be done aswell. But a linear build would be better for intensity and spread
And tbh the same could be said about your flower space: you need lighting which allows for hanging height of 6-12" not 18-20. Id advice against qb240, either go for several boards run softish or something like those strips although id advice for something in the 2 feet format.

Could I run 4x 600w meanwell drivers on a 240v 30amp breaker?? I know there is a big start up rush on each driver
You have in-rush protection already: aka shitty outlets, 5 wire nuts in series on your circuit, etc. The native inductance alone should do it. Worst case a breaker meant for motors (slow-blow) would do it but that won't happen.

I read though the second half of this thread. Thanks for all the input you've provided to everyone in here. I agree, I think the best thing to do is get a bunch of 2' boards and wire them up to fewer drivers. The drivers I should get domestically (maybe digikey?) and the boards maybe from kingbrite (with the 10mm heatsinks already on them). I can buy a mixture of 3000k, 3500k, and 4000k and mix and match them as needed. I don't yet know how the deep red, ir, and uv strips are powered, but I could add those too.

The height restrictions aren't ideal, but I'm gonna LST them to keep them in check and with the two areas I figured I could do smaller harvests more often.

I have more research to do tomorrow. Do you have any recommendations for where to get the components? Thanks so much

Ive been happy with stuff from kingbrite and meijiu. For us components: digikey or arrow, if you have a partnr then just search it using octopart and all it brings back all available dealers. Rapidled is another popular dealer but i havent tried them.myself. For EU: TME or led-tech.de

I'm responding to you, but don't feel like you're obligated to responded. I'm doing some thinking out loud here and of course input from anyone is greatlyappreciated.

I was thinking about having the red, uv, and ir on seperate bars and possibly drivers, but I don't think it's worth the hassle. It's like another $10 a board to have them on there and then I'm just done with it. I do lose a an equal amount of white diodes doing it like that, but then it's less headache. However, I recall it's not recommended to have these on all the time and going this route means I can't switch them without doing some surgery on the boards. Maybe I should reconsider this.

I compared the cost per watt of the the HLG-*H-48B drivers from Mouser and this is what I found:

The very small ones aren't worth it, but once you get to the 150 and up there aren't any huge savings and you get what you pay for. Thanks to your octopart suggestion I can find the cheapest source, but I'll probably only save a few bucks because these are priced pretty competitively.

The bulk of the cost is going to be the light strips/bars for sure . I think for best coverage six of the L560 boards (560mm or roughly 2'), at least for the flowering section would be best and probably for the veg section too. I could scrimp a bit because the veg probably would be okay with less light, but I'd need them farther from the plants for good coverage and I've only got 3' to work with. Maybe I should just do six here too, maybe with less power, but most likely the same driver dimmed in the event I need to steal it because a flower one crapped out.

I'll need to grab some dimmer knobs (Kingbrite has them, I guess if it doesn't affecting the shipping price I should just grab them), and some wiring and misc hardware, but I can get those through amazon and/or local.

The one thing I like that KB has are those long, green aluminum rails that the strips can be attached to. I don't see them offered individually and I'm sure they'd be expensive to ship. I could probably just get some metal bars locally if needed.

What are your opinions on the size of the drivers? Should I get a smaller one for veg or get the same size and dim it? I know that might lower the driver efficiency, but would it reduce the heat output and maybe prolong the driver and led life?

What do you think about getting multiple drivers for each section instead of one big one? My thought was if I have one driver for six lights and it goes out for repair there's no lights on that tier. If I had four of the same drivers, two for each tier running three strips, If one went out I could rearrange them so the flowering lights are in tact and the veg lights could run on one at half power. Or I could buy an extra just in case so if any need to be sent in for warranty I have an immediate replacement. I was thinking maybe four of the 185s or 240s (they'd have to be turned down a bit.

And maybe I'm going into this with naivete, but from my understanding the boards are wired for 48V, so I'd get a driver ending in "-48B" so the voltage is 48V. If I were to use a 240W driver undimmed and kept adding strips in parallel would it work like this?

First: check out the meanwell xlg range drivers, they are cheap and made for horticulture, and the constant power concept is really interesitng. Also, the drivers are very flexible, l,m and h range both work very well with variable voltages which means they are a bit more future proof if you were to expand or change the setup. Also seems like they always come with AB dimming.

Dimming: drivers are more efficient on full power than dimmed but once your growing you dont really care about that. One different way of doing this is with multiple driver input: say you got 6 strips in parallel into a multi way wago: if you route one 240 driver into your wago you got enough for vegg with 2 you got flower. Weve done this with 3-5 drivers in our grow.

UV-IR: yeah why not? We havent done it yet though and, like you, i would prefer a separate channel for both, especially uv.

Drivers: i like the 240 drivers, they are the ones with the lowest failure rates as per HLG steve.

Your table with 1-6 strips on a 240 driver: it works almost like that, only with 1 or 2 strips only the draw may be a lot more, make sure you never light 1 strip with 1 driver, you could burn it.

It looks like it has a good reputation and apparently the panel with separate uv / ir control is the same as kingbrite with cree diods
Dont know the seller but looks interesting. I find their other 2 board set more interesting, the one with 2 separate heatsinks with alu profile to strap them together. Spread is going to be much better. If you go ahead and buy pplease lett us know how it all went.
