When I saw they had it in royal blue I was sold. It's charging :eyesmoke:
Only 3.5X and I need more than that. Lots of ones like these all over. They say glass lenses in the description but in the comments they say plastic.

I'm thinking I might get these ones but still searching for the 'perfect' ones before I spend my money. I don't mind paying more for better as tehy will get a lot of use tying flies and jigs too.

Shipped here in Canada too.

Cool! The only turtles I eat are the chocolate kind. Lmao. Good on ya tho that's some real survivalist shit right there
Haha I love chocolate turtles. Im a really great cook too so I make some serious meals with these. I made a turtle meat sort of beef stew and everyone at it and thought it was just really tender beef. I told them two days later after the leftovers were gone. Gar meat too is super delicious if you fry it seasoned with old bay and then dip it in butter its like lobster. It has a similar texture to gator.

That's awesome. I've actually never caught a gar even though we have them here. Had a bunch on, but never to the net. They get pretty big here too

Gar are easy to catch and they shoot out of the water like a swordfish no joke. Great fighting fish, just when they bite you have really set the hook super hard to get through their bony mouth. I wait about 5 second after the gar gets the bait cause they take it with the tip of their snout then they move it back to the throat. About 5 seconds after they bite its right about in the middle of their mouth where I want it then I set the hook with force and its game on.

Alot of people out there think they are trash fish but its probably because they are hard to clean. Their skin and scales is like armor and grab them the wrong way and your hand will get all cut up. I found the easiest way clean a gar fast. I use tin snips to cut there armor like skin right down the back, theres two long clean boneless fillets. You can also make fish cakes out of the gar meat, which is really good. Not a very fishy tasting fish at all, it has a flavor of its own.

I set hook like it's going out of style. Lol
We use rope or yarn. Gets caught in their teeth. I'm usually targeting rainbows and catfish when the gar are around so I don't usually go for them. Busy catching suckers for bait lol
